Hi Cinders!

We are so excited to show you all the Hollow Dragon! We have included a WINGED and WINGLESS VERSION! The wings attach through pop in ball sockets -just like the Grenurtle model, and fan out to hold in place! This allows you to print them separately, reducing percentage of failed prints due to wings! Let us know if you like this and we can look into updating the other winged models!

This works in FDM and we are making specific wings for Resin that are still in testing! I had this design in my head for a while and I just love how the details turned out! I know it's not your average dragon but I hope you all enjoy too!

Special Thank you for the amazing photography!! Cinderwing3D's Graphics Designer Jazzy @JazzyPlz and Team Tester Kelsey @Kelceyskreatures!

FILES INCLUDED: (we've also included the tail and head as keychains!)

How do I download these files?

If anyone is having issues putting the wings in, don't try to push the straight.go in at about a 45 degrees and and turn the ball while you do.

i made spaghetti with my first try at the wings lol, gonna add a brim this go

The wings are so hard to get in and painful because there's so many sharp bits in the print. They don't rotate as much as I would have liked, maybe printing at 99 percent would help

Can someone please explain to me how the wings stay spread out and up. Mine just fall down. I can't figure out what I am missing here. TIA

We are on print number 5 fail of this dragon. We have tried the ender 3, voxlab, and cr10. Non stop fails. We literally loaded it on the printer an hour after it released and have not had one successful print. Every other file has printed with CinderWing3D so it’s not the printers. Anyone else struggling?

Anyone have any answers on how to keep the wings spread out yet? I'm not sure how much testing this thing went through but it doesn't seem as easy as is made out, the other models have been fantastic but these wings are a bit of nightmare for me

I have had multiple fails on the bone extremities within the first 15% of the print. Mostly in the tail section due to it curling up on the very fine tips. However, I've had 3 successful dragons finish, as well, and they look amazing. I have one winged version printing right now and used a 6mm brim and its been flawless the whole time. A little z hop helps if you're worried about the nozzle colliding with the prints and knocking them off.

I'm about to epoxy these wings in position. Nothing I do seems to hold them in place

I don't think it's the file I own a original ender 3 without any upgrades on it besides heavy bed spring , I can print the hollow dragon fine . Currently printing another winged version on my anycubic Kobra and everything seems fine so far . Jason makes a good point of using z hop I like to make it the same as my layer height so it will never hit the print . Also check your retraction and temp if your temp is too hot the layers will sag and won't sit on top of each properly

wait am i no longer able to get the design?

There's gotta be an easier way to navigate through this and download any given design

these look great on paper but good lord the failure rater is higher than gas prices.

I'm having quite a bit of trouble with this print now too. I've had one winged one print successfully at 80% scale with no brim (aside for a brim for the wings) I have tried the non winged one at 80% and did get a full print but it was very brittle at the links and broke when I popped it off my spring plate (Although it has the identical settings to the successful print.) I have since tried adding a brim to the body as well and beefing up my walls/infill but nothing seems to be working. Fails on 3 different printers now. Hmmm
