The Summer Exhibition (Patreon)

Something that really fucks me off in the art world every year is the RAs Summer Exhibition. I watch the BBCs single show on it each year and it makes me want to freaking kill everyone, particularly artists. If you don't know what I'm talking about, the Royal Academy runs a summer exhibition in London where members of the public can submit a couple of works of art and millions are submitted, a handful get picked by fucking rich knobs... Arseholes who think being an artist is being 70 years old and wearing a woman's dress while having a waxed mustache. And it's pimp. It's rich mutherfuckers who shit on a plate a tell you it's real art and charge you thousands for it. It's why the French killed their aristocracy all those years ago. A freaking jug with badly glazed penises on it, aweful prints of dots, black streaked lines. London famous artists who write on a big peice of paper "kite stuck in a tree" and charge thousands of pounds so wealthy people can roll around buying and boasting. They dispose of their black presenter and get a new one each year, this one said to a barely famous actor "you can get some really cheap art from these beginner artists starting at five hundred pounds £500"....really, so cheap. and honestly... If I dipped my dick in some orange paint and rubbed it on the canvas... That's the type of art they celebrate each year. 😑😒😔 It's a mockery of what art is, it's a pisstake of the REAL Artists up and down our country's who work so hard to make good art and please customers and earn every penny and pound. You only get to be one of the famous Artists if your born from the right family, that's how it works here. Your daddy's is a high banker and your mummy is a lawyer so your really aweful sketchs when your fifteen get taken seriously by your upperclass Freinds and bam, you've sold some for a grand. Then you take some drugs, trash some cars and get a toilet seat in the Tate gallery and now your a famous rich artist. You go to their secret sex parties and get all kinds of sexual desease, but it's okay because mum and dad are still loaded and you own a few houses with your art money. If you can watch this year's summer exhibition I honestly suggest you do. Even last year's, it's horribly decadent. Embarrassing. When working people in this country are having to go to foodbanks and the police are stealing sleeping bags off the homeless on the streets. It makes me so angry. I'm grateful for everything I've got. I could have been born in Africa, my family have been so poor they had to beg when I was a child at times, grabbing penny's off the street to buy a bag of potatoes, So I do understand what I have now. But that means I see the greed and fakeness and it's overwhelming. I believe that if society gave every living person (except the super rich) a basic income. Enough to buy food, pay rent and bills. Our Economy would grow massively. We would almost end homelessness. We would increase jobs and buisness because more money would go into the economy buying products, food, resources, technology. A basic living wage for every person would mean you wouldn't starve. You wouldn't have children going hungry or family's going homeless. People would work because they wanted to make money to buy houses, buy bigger TVs and go on holidays. People would start up new buisness. Reeducate and grow creatively. Trees and plants grow when their waterd. The your rewarded as they breath in carbon dioxide and breath out oxygen. If I had a basic living wage not only would I be able to produce more art for you, I could work towards my own art gallery where I would take in other creatives art. I would run educational programs for children and the recovering arts for the sick. I would hire and employ staff. Or run an animal sanctuary... I know I'm going on alot. But when I see the worst decadence in my society I automatically think what could make life better for everyone. People say what they want about the NHS but I'm alive today because of it. It's free when you need it, and I've needed it. 😝😁 The old model of the human world doesn't work. We are falling apart and the only ones that tell us we have no choices are the people getting rich off it. Most of the big shop chains from when I was a kid have closed down and the last ones are still going under, but those on the top lie and say we are doing grate. Like selling you a cardboard house when they know the rains coming.
