I like brunettes (Patreon)

I did this sketch portrait last night too when I did the others of a beautiful lady I just met on Instagram. I found Instagram is a great place to practise portraits because people choose selfies and photos they feel look best which also suggest their character, pose. Some people insist on only drawing a person who's really Infront of you!!!. I find this attitude very.... Snobbish, elitist. We live in a global world right now. I'm in the UK, I'm not gonna travel to Italy or Japan to work on a customer's portrait am I. My job as an artist when doing a portrait isn't to make something realistic, that's for cameras. I've got to capture a moment of their character in an interesting drawing that allows them to see themselves in a way they can't get themselves.
