Evangelion (Patreon)

Theres 4 different versions of Evangelion. The manga books by one of the shows co-creators with his own personal ending. Theres the original TV serise, theres the Movie adaptions of the TV serise with an apocalyptic ending many find hard to understand and theres the Modern Movies which are supposed to be 4 movies long but we are waiting for the 4th movie because they fucked off to make a godzilla film.

If i was to tell a freind how to get into Eva.... I would say buy (cheap) the DVDs Evangelion 1.11 and 2.22 to start. These are modern remakes which are different to the books and tv show, and hugely enjoyable.

if you like these, then get the manga books because they have beutiful artwork and paced storytelling. then your ready to get the other movies like death and rebirth and end of evangelion. Leave the TV serise untill your a hardcore fan. the movie 3.33 is VERY different to anything evanglion as they decide to compleatly change the direction of the serise so leave that untill your used to Eva.

If your thinking "what the FUCK is evangelion" basically REAL Angels, giant metaphysical beings are attacking the earth because they want to cause the apocalypse and become the new speicies... the onlything standing in their way is the Evangelion, (not a robot) its a huge humanoid body piloted by chosen children. With lots of plot, secrets, broken souls and tradgedy Evangelion is a story about how family will fuck you up more than the end of the world
