Alot of people don't know this untill they try to print their own comic, but one of the most soulsucking things is resizing every page for your printers.

It took me many many hours over many days to make sure all the pages were sized right for VCG #1 second edition and some other comics I wanted to print. Because every online printer likes things saved a certain way and size.

And then today I noticed a problem with the printer. I did use an American printer because there aren't any indie comic printers in the UK that I've found yet. But the shipping from America to the UK was insane. So I switched to an online printer which actually shipped from Germany. BUT I noticed they weren't doing what I wanted anymore. So back to the American printer I haven't used since 2015. I had to ask for new passwords to get into my account and resize/edit every single comic page I had done previously plus work out the differance in printing prices.

None of this actually involves you drawing your own comic or doing the logo, wording the pages lol. This is all crazy behind the scenes publishing stuff that takes hours and hours untill your brain falls out of your ears. You've gotta work out the printers page count requirement, how much that costs compared to a few pages less or more. Currency converter it. Choose sketch covers and normal covers which change price. In the real world your sat at a laptop tapping away while the family is doing stuff and wondering why your on the laptop so long talking to your self and scribbling down secret number codes that would baffle the worlds intelligence services. And I've got more pages to resize and fix before I can even send to the printers. This is the stuff you don't know someone has done when they say they self published. When you work for a company you hand your finished pages in and magic elves take care of it.
