Happy 4 Days After Valentine's Day? (Patreon)

Greetings! First, I want to apologize for not posting in a while; I hadn't actually completed any of the pieces of 10.4 I've been working on and thus didn't feel I had a lot to report. I was also dealing with a bit of writer's block and feeling a little down, but I'm feeling better now. I have some progress to report, too! Oh, and 4 Days After Valentine's Day is officially a holiday now.

The Picture

Before that, though, I want to talk a little about the picture included with this post. I actually started it the day before Valentines and hoped to have it out on V-day, but I ran into a ton of problems and decided to set it aside for a bit and resume working on other stuff. Thought it might be nice to include with this post, though, so I went back and finished it. So it's a few days late, but hopefully it helps get you in the Valentine's mood! 10.4 is going to feature an Alex-Ana date, and this was actually intended as a warm-up for 10.4's promo image, which will feature the same setting and probably same outfits. You may notice the hair is different - Daz kept crashing, and it took me a while to figure it out, but it turns out Ana's usual hair was responsible. (It still works fine in other scenes, though?) As a workaround, I used a more detailed model of Ana's hair, and decided to switch Alex's to a more detailed model, too. Though it's still obviously the same style, Alex's hair looks quite a bit different. Once I get through my training in Maya and its hair system (Xgen) I'm going to attempt to create Maya character models for everyone, and this is probably more like what Alex's hair will end up looking like. (Except less Daz-y.) Don't worry, though - H-scenes will still use both characters' old hair models until I switch over to Maya.

10.4 Progress

I've almost finished the first quest - the one about the district reopening - and once that's done I'll move on to the Ana date quest, and that'll be 10.4. At least as far as main content goes - there'll still be a lot of random NPC conversations to write, but those won't require as much careful consideration as potentially important relationship stuff.  One of the other things I'll need to do is populate the relationship plugin with events that'll affect your relationship with various characters. I made a pretty extensive list of this stuff during my last playthrough, and I may end up posting about this soon to get your feedback on whether there's anything I'm missing.

Conclusion

Once again, I apologize for not posting in a while. I'll try to avoid such long gaps in the future, even if I don't have anything particularly noteworthy to report. I hope you like the picture, and I expect 10.4 will be out next month sometime - hopefully it'll give you a little taste of Valentine's, too! Thank you for your support!
