Content

Greetings!

I finished up the dungeon and the rest of the Lake Spear quest, and I'm currently working on the rest of the Ned Danger quest line. This quest line will form a pretty good chunk of the content available in this update (I'm guessing around 20-25%), so please make sure you get it!

For those who don't know what I'm talking about, in the Dark Pits, before you go to fight the last boss, you can uncover a (slightly) hidden passage by creatively chaining your bombs. (I think I kept open the ability to do this even if you've beaten the dungeon, so it's not too late to go back!) Down there you'll find a hat with a nametag inscribed "N. Danger." This leads to the quest to find out who it belongs to, which you eventually figure out by finding 3 books - 2 of which are in Ogremarsh and the last you can find during one of the Bunny quests. I think it's currently set up that you must find them in order; I may or may not change that. Finding the third book is as far as it goes in 0.8, so if you've done that you'll be ready for the content in 0.9.

I've included another image from the Sami scene with this post - I hope you like it! Sami's Playthings is my internal name for this scene, for reasons which are probably obvious at this point :) I probably should have included an image from the other scene, but I like the Sami's Playthings images more (the scene itself is hotter, too, IMO.)

I got a little distracted this week trying to find music for Lake Spear and the dungeon - I think I just wanted to be able to definitively say that part is done - but I decided I'll just go back and add all the music at the end like I usually do. I can easily spend several days looking for and listening to different game music, trying to find just what I want for a particular map/scene. The game's music is very important to me - the right music can really add to the experience, and I always try to put a lot of care into my choices - and I'd forgotten how lost I can get in the whole thing. It's definitely smarter to do that only once as opposed to falling down that rabbit hole each time I'm trying to wrap up a quest!

I just wanted to check in with you guys and give you a sense of what I'm up to. I'm going to get back to it - I think I can have this quest line finished up in a few days. After that there's 3 more left for 0.9 - one of them will involve a sneaking minigame, and another may involve a little combat; I haven't decided if I'll do a dungeon for that one, but if I do it'll be small, and I'm not planning on giving it a complicated boss fight. I've already done all the revamping of the combat system I'm going to in 0.9, so even if I do give it a little dungeon, it won't take as long as the Lake Spear one did. Oh, and the sneaking quest will probably give you a maid costume which you'll be able to use for xmog, for those of you who might be into that!

That's all I have for now - thank you for your support!

I love the 'Well, here we go again" look on Alex's face.

I was looking for an opportunity to use that expression in a H-scene :)

While I'm trying to be patient and wait till the next update its been so long its starting to get hard to justify paying so much and still patiently waiting. If I'm right the last update was the 0.8 and that was almost 10 months ago back in Sept 2019 I can't keep waiting much longer and still keep making payments. For this upcoming update I can wait another month at max, and future updates you got to find a way to cut the time down between updates cause this is too long.

the quality is good, and im a presence level supporter, but i really have to agree with you. there needs to be a release schedule. and they need to stick to it.

The September post wasn't a new build. 0.8 came out July 19th of last year, so if the new build isn't out in six days we are looking at a full year wait time. I am willing to wait, but I understand having problems with that.

I understand the frustration, and I appreciate your longtime support. You may want to consider dropping, or going down to the $1 tier if you still want to see the development journals. Then, once 0.9 is out, you can join/go up again if you're still inclined to do so.
