I feel like all I've been doing is apologising for my lack of posting recently but alas, here I am again with a sad sorry in both hands.

I've been hit with the flu which just seems to be getting worse by the day (no it's not covid, thank god). But my tale of unfortunate events just continues to become more unfortunate...

We've been sleeping in the car for the past week and before you think 'oh no, they're doing it rough', we've got a pretty sweet set up.. that reminds me, I don't think I've shown you! Comment below if you would like a tour of my car camping set up!

But anyway, 2 sick girls.. 1 car.. it's definitely not luxury. I finally caved and said fuck it, let's book a hostel room for the night and thank God we did because this is when things start to go downhill very quickly.

I had spent the day dog sitting and as the hours ticked by I felt a headache start to creep in. I layed down, a pair of undies over my eyes and tried to sleep it off but as the owner came home and I stood from the couch to leave, it hit me. It was a migrain.

I was feeling super thankful we had a room booked for that night, but the 16 minute drive to the hostel was the worst 16 minutes of my life.

If you've ever had a migraine, you can sympathise. My head was on fire and my passenger window was down ready to barf down the side of the car door.

When we finally arrived to the hostel which felt like a lifetime, I sat in the gutter head to knees muttering any distraction I could to myself as Anna searched for the late night check-in key. But as life would have it, the key wouldn't work.

Up came my peanut butter crackers I had for lunch as Anna sat beside me waiting for the hostel manager to let us onto our room.

40 minutes of staring at my liquid lunch on the ground, praying for the ringing inside my head to stop before the manager finally arrived.

Anna took my arm, undies still over my eyes and layed me down on the shower floor. Relief at last.

I passed out as soon as my head hit the pillow and was woken to my disgusting cough at 5am this morning but no more migraine.

I now need to pack my bags for a last minute flight home to QLD for a family emergency... I told you it's a tale of unfortunate events!

Stay tuned so see if they actually let me on the plane...
