Crazy ass story not telling someone their daughter is in the closet but I guess get it while you can? Based on her history though I think she’s just Mormon by default and doubt she follows the actual rules anymore. Melatonin is fine to use regularly as long as you don’t use too much. It’s better to get bloodwork done to make sure it’ll actually help. A lot of people take it as a sleeping pill but it just helps get your body into that sleeping phase. Of course if you stare at your phone it won’t help-I’ve tried a ton of sleeping remedies. -I like the red that maya got, I would just re-do it and make it bright again. -so I checked out solo fund and looks like that front page is just their credo not quotes from the people in the pics. That said this sounds terrible unless you’re fine giving money away because there’s no security on your money, it’s basically just a hub to get connected but if people don’t pay it’s on you to get it back.

I really hope they could just preface these sort of stories with a "Hey, listeners, we are about to touch on a very sensitive topic" or something simple. Instead of just like "I'm about to talk about something tragic, really tragic" which doesn't compare at all to the magnitude of what was said.

I have two kids. I give them melatonin nightly. It's 1mg. My oldest could go to sleep without it. Youngest we suspect has ADHD. Dude could stay up past midnight and then wake up at 5am (his normal wake up time, despite multiple attempts at changing it). I'd rather give him 1mg of melatonin to ensure him and big sis (who he will wake up -_-) get a full 10 hours of sleep. Sleep is crucial for development. Melatonin is naturally occurring. Now, if my kids got nightmares from it (a common side effect), I'd stop it. Thankfully they do not.

It's a somewhat grey area, but I don't like it. Not getting laid is not an excuse for bad actions. This particular action is bad on multiple fronts. As a guy, I wouldn't want to hook up with someone while their child is literally sleeping (who knows if they wake up) in the closest. And the thing is, the woman could probably arrange a booty call for when they don't have the kid in their care. If they can call up someone on a moments notice and get a booty call...Usually, if a guy will get with a girl like that, it doesn't have to be at one specific time, they'll probably be down to plan a time. It doesn't sound like she forced into this situation, where her one shot to get laid is with her child sleeping (but also maybe awake) in the closet.

Yeah, I think another thing with the closet is that they live in a 1 bedroom apartment (from what was said). What kind of 1 bedroom apartment do you know of that has a large closet? They exist, but are not ideal when you are a single parent struggling to get by. The 1 bedroom apartments with a big closet are more expensive than low income 2 bedroom apartments. I think what we are seeing here is a low income 1 bedroom apartment. And I know about low income apartments, I used to be one. I understand the sexual needs thing, but it can't come at the expense of your own offspring, and quite frankly, most girls have much better opportunities to get laid than guys do. Like I said in my comment, she probably actually had the opportunity to set a date and time to get laid. I would also state that a lot of the incel movement is from not getting laid. Just like we don't condone incels, we should not condone this scenario.

(gd if you tell me we have equality... i swear to god lol)

No problem, I think this got out hand. I think there was stuff I was wrong about and stuff you were wrong about. I think I started it by challenging you on something that didn't need challenging. I definitely respect the hardships of women in general. I'm aware of things like the rate of sexual harassment experienced. I would never want to be on this end of this kind of argument. The reason it struck me is that I've been poor, so I know that to be living in a 1 bedroom apartment could be a luxury even without a big closet. I mean, renting a room in a 3 bedroom house was a luxury. And then when I start thinking logically, there are multiple outs. You know? I think maybe part of it is that if I ever have a kid, then I will give them the upbringing they deserve.

Ok, let me put my parent hat for this and say: Ashley did nothing wrong. It's so difficult to actually give yourself some time and space when your kids are in your house that you have to set a boundary on which risks you take on them seeing things you don't want them to see or places you want them to be in, do you know how difficult it is to me to allow myself to take a nap? When you work a lot and your kids are around you want to make the most of being with them. And if you are single and need to get laid you try to give yourself the space best you can, heck this is difficult even when you are married. Now imagine that you did all this mental effort and planning only to have your would be lover to become freaked out because the proximity of your kid when you (the parent, the responsible one) already decided the boundaries you set to this endeavour, so while I understand the spirit behind being upfront about it, I also feel the parent should be the one making the decision
