My fiancé asked me this question: the thing is the Roman Empire pretty much established a lot of things. Also if you went to catholic school growing up, the Roman’s where mentioned all the time. Also Iots of games/anime’s at least have some reference to Roman’s. I mean hell even little Caesar pizza or the cases at hotel. So while I don’t think of the vast empire I often think about like the little references everyday.
