I love these lil episodes so much!! this one reminds me when I was a kid my family briefly lived on a beach that horseshoe crabs would wash ashore and my dad always told me we had to flip them back over so we would have good luck

A few more things to supplement: When mating, females give males piggyback rides up to the shore! And then they do their thing... Scientists take about 30% of their blood and I want to say mortality rate is like 15%ish but I'm not totally positive on that. Most of what we know about vision comes from horseshoe crab research! Lastly, that one you saw in MA was likely more than 10 years old from the things living on its carapace :O (they can live to around 20)

Campaigning for a vulture episode!! Theyre my favorite animal and are so important as scavengers and are being threatened due to the use of lead bullets causing so much lead poisoning and they typically don't make it or live with neurological issues that make them unreleaseable :( [eagles too]

Dang horseshoe crabs are sick! Sucks we farm them for blood though :/ but hopefully they help a lot of people. These episodes are cool and awesome to see your excitement in doing these :)

ngl i didnt even know there was supposed to be a schedule to these or that this was late. i log in here and there and there's an animal video and im like "alright man". remaining unchanged for that long is an incredible commitment to the bit. 10/10 thats a nice crab.
