Maya said she thought she came across as scatter-brained but I think she kinda killed it. Just thinking of confronting that situation makes my head spin. It's emotional, violating, tied to their careers in unavoidable ways and they were forced into it through no action of their own. All that in front of a wider twitch community where women are already relentlessly sexualized just for standing up from their chair, putting their hair up or sneezing. Just seems so exhausting. I think her response here and in her tweet were very clear and if people don't get it, I don't think there's any special set of words that would make them understand. They were always going to argue in bad faith from the start. It's frustrating how quickly the simplest calls against exploitation devolve into endless topics like how ''sensitive'' people are allowed to be, what mocking jokes Ethan Klein is entitled to make, hypothetically ''reversing the roles'' and accusations of hypocrisy from their flawed interpretation of a conversation from years ago.
