After much debate internally I've pretty much decided that for now there will only be one tier-type of rewards, the "$1 tier". Why? Because Patreon was supposed to be a way for people who wanted to give money to do so. The problem became that Patreon is often seems too expensive(?), not for me, but for those supporting me. I am highly disappointed and honestly I have a hard time justifying the loss of more than 10% of my Projected funds due to fees upon fees. It's kind of ridiculous really, and honestly it's why I stopped offering art as a reward. My patrons are here to support me and my art, not Patreon. If I'm not getting at least 90% of the funds, it defeats the purpose and limits the value.

Really if you want to continue to support my art here, I will always submit exclusively to Patreon first before I sort through all of it and transmit to other websites, in later weeks. I plan to continue offering unique polls, and I think if I ever hit the "Growing Pandemic Begins" goal, I'll offer Cameos again (prioritizing high to low paying Patrons).

Anyways as always, if I owe you some reward from the past, please email me hsautereau@blackoutindustries.net and we will figure out the next steps.

Thanks,

Patreon is a greedy company isn't it? In the end though, your art is always a cool thing to see coming through the update pipeline. It was a pleasure to help support in what little I could and can :).

I don't think it's necessarily Patreon's Fault, they claim that in the end they only take around 5% of the total amount, and the rest are just credit card processing fees. Which normally the Fee is around 1-2% of the total transaction...But for some reason, the amount just seems so much higher than it should, and my guess is that the "Fee" amount is higher for lesser reward amounts or foreign cards. In general it strikes me that Patreon is just expensive.
