Hello lovelies!! Happy Autumn and Libra season! As we're coming up on October, I've been reflecting what has worked and what needs tweaking for Patreon. I want this to be as seamless an experience it can be, for myself and for you guys. I want to provide you with what I can when I'm at my best, cause in that case we all benefit. So I've been thinking of how to streamline the reward tiers going forward.

These potential changes wouldn't happen until 2020!! I'm just putting the feelers out there now to get your opinion on this matter. I wouldn't be here without your support so I want this to be a joint process.

Here are the new tiers I've been considering

  • The Alice's Dream Tier ($1) raised to $2. Not the biggest jump here, but definitely significant. As this patreon article explains, a $2 bottom tier will have the majority of the money go directly into supporting me rather than most going to processing fees. The content would still be the same "Daily doodles", works in progess, whatever doodles I share. the same grab bag of fun!
  • Edith's Watch Tier ($3) raised to $5. Effectively merging the $3 and $5 tiers, and encompassing all Alice and the Nightmare comic previews, and include wallpapers and any other special goodies I can provide!
  • Cheshire's Stash (NSFW $7) raised to $10. This one is the biggest increase, but I think well worth it. I've been enjoying making all sorts of spicy treats heh. And bringing "Enchiridion" back! I have pages penciling and started dipping my toes in inking again. This is one project I definitely want finished.
  • The Hatter's Letters Mail Club Tier discontinued! The biggest change! I've realized making postcard while also making a comic and having an emotionally taxing retail job is a recipe for burnout and not fair to you guys!! Would mail club be going away forever? I'd love to make it a Patreon goal! It's just not something I can do well right now. Don't half ass many things, whole ass one thing. And I'm trying to find what I can whole ass and whole ass well.

I've had my Patreon page since I was in college, and now that I'm a couple years out I'm able to really focus on it and recognize my limits and what I can do to bring you guys the best. Thank you so much for coming on this journey with me!!

So! Let me know in the polls! I want to know your opinion on these changes! If you have any ideas, comment below! Thanks!!

I feel the $10 tier is too high, especially since there's been no Enchiridion of late, and no guaranty how much it would be made in 2020. The others are ok.

Loving the nsfw stuff and happy to support for the new price

$7 for Chesire's was fine when it was just AatN stuff so if Enchiridion returns consistently, it'll be very worth $10 to me.

I try to support a lot of people a little bit. If everyone raises their $1 level to $2 it'd double my pledge level which I couldn't afford. So then do I choose to drop some people, or support them just a small amount below the level they consider worthy of any reward? You keep 82 % of a $2 donation compared to 67 % of a $1 donation so I can see why it would be desirable. On that basis maybe I should be more selective on who I support, but it feels so mean cutting people!

2023-01-30 00:02:41 Update: I asked Patreon for clarification - here's the Q&A in case it's of use/interest. "I just read a post from a creator explaining why they are raising their lowest tier to $2 which linked to an article detailing that creators receive 67 % of a $1 donation but 82 % of a $2 donation. What's the justification behind the 0.33 minimum processing fee? Would 0.20 be workable to keep the percentages more similar between the two levels? As things stand it seems clearly preferable that I up all my $1 to $2 but I can't afford to do that. So should I up half and drop half? That feels harsh and arbitrary, but would mean that more of my donations went to creators not on fees. Why is it beneficial to Patreon that I support say 10 people with 20 dollars per month rather than supporting 20 people with 20 dollars?" "This is actually an issue with card companies that charge higher fees for smaller purchases. This is why a local store may have a $10 minimum for card purchases. It's actually worse if a patron only supports on creator. We take all of your pledges and combine them together (for your total is $71). Your individual pledge to that creator probably goes through mostly intact. But if another patron was only pledging $1, and that was their full billing every month, it's possible that the card company charges a much higher fee at that point: I've see these fees be as high as 54%! An individual creator does not see the fee charged on one pledge but does see the aggregate charge."

Please note: I won't stop supporting you regardless of you decision on the tiers.
