The paper rolling habit of Lawyer Lee was to show that is a sign of his scheming & manipulating - the significance of it was already presented in episode 1 or so when JaeChan first got reunited with him & he saw him doing that & then they showed the flashback of him doing it as his tutor when he came up with the "win win" scheme of forging his report card (so in real time, JaeChan knew he was lying or scheming again.) P.S. The big reveal of the serial killer was presented that way, not bc it's someone they know, but bc the surprise is that it was a female (statistically, serial killers are usually male - that is probably why they had the voice changer too.) And Lee & jaeChan don't work in the same building bc Lee quit being a prosecutor (civil servant working in a public building) to go into private practice & now works for a law firm.
