IT'S TIME! We meet Elena Gilbert, a highschool girl from Mystic Falls who has recently lost both of her parents. She meets Stefan Salvatore, a vampire who has come here specifically to meet her for some reason. He seems like a good guy but we meet his brother, Damon, who immediately causes chaos in the town. The boys seem to be having fun, the audience is having fun... seems like a great decision to me. Zuff was right to wanna say hi to the "new" Vampire Diaries fans. I'm pretty sure when this goes on public on YT, they'll gain more viewership. Also, my brother binged this show during the pandemic and loved it, he watched both spin-off series too. Don't be so close-minded.

To answer your question Rob, Matt was one of the first characters I was immediately drawn to! They’re not gonna limit their viewers because they do all different genres of shows and do multiple shows at the same time. If you don’t like this one then move along. There have been multiple shows that they’ve reacted to that I wasn’t interested in and I just decided not to watch, simple. There’s no need to leave comments like these when something doesn’t suit your fancy.

Also, I'm Team Stefan always but most importantly I'm Team Salvatore ❤ Fun facts: The show is based on a book series by L. J. Smith. It premiered in 2009 and ended in 2017 after 8 seasons. It has had two spin-off shows: The Originals and Legacies (The Originals is superior). Creators Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec were also writers/producers for the most of the Scream movies. Ashlee Simpson was the CW network's first choice for Elena, while Zach Roerig, Michael Trevino and Paul Wesley originally auditioned for Damon. Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley have both admitted that they didn't like each other for the first few months of filming. They later became good friends (and still are). The pilot was filmed in Vancouver but the rest of the series was filmed in Covington, Georgia. Nina Dobrev (Elena) has been in a bunch of movies and the TV show Degrassi: The Next Generation, but one you've all seen is The Perks of Being a Wallflower (she played Charlie's sister). She and Ian Somerhalder were in a relationship for a few years during the show. She is now in a relationship with snowboarder, skateboarder and Olympic Gold medallist Shaun White. I’m excited for this. Once upon a time, this was teenage me’s favorite show. The kind you watch live every week. I stopped before it ended and haven’t watched the spinoffs, but back in the day, I was Team Stefan but also hated Elena. I’m interested to see if adult me has different opinions.
