The whole reason Min wanted Mihyun to get close to Doosik was so that when he sent him to kill the North Korean president he wouldn't go into hiding, doosik would go back to South Korea for Mihyun which is exactly what he did. She was his insurance policy. That's why Min said she had completed her mission even when he knew she had been lying to him, he knew they had fallen in love.

I hope you guys rewatch this ep when you have free time, bcs there's a lot to take in. I'm gonna clarify some below: - Now we know why Mihyun painted the tent and the restaurant roof in Purple in episode 2. - If you guys pay attention to what Min's been reading at the newspaper headlines, there's a potential peace between North and South Korea, and Min DISLIKES that. So, Min sent Doosik, to assassinate the North Korean leader. But it's shown in this ep, Min got disappointed that the intelligence revealed that the North Korean leader died from cardiac arrest, INSTEAD OF ASSASSINATION like Min wanted. From the conversations between Min and other departments from this episode, it seems Min doesn't reveal the assignment he gave to Doosik to the other departments, just to put all the blame to Doosik and mobilize all the departments to hunt him down.
