Waystar-Royco (the company) is a media conglomerate. They have theme parks, resorts, cruises, news stations, and movie studios, and they run a news channel called ATN (basically Fox News). Think of something like Fox, Disney, Warner Brothers, etc. Valter is like a Buzzfeed-esque media company. In real life, big media conglomerates might own or finance smaller ones. The Roy family is pretty much inspired by the Murdoch family who have assets in 21st century Fox, the Fox News corporation, etc. LOL info dump aside, I feel bad for Kendall here because he did the right thing. I think Logan was just mad he thought of it first and maybe part of him wanted the company to flounder without him. Like in episode 1, he was feeling insecure about Kendall taking over the company. I think Kendall getting something done without consulting him made Logan feel obsolete.

Looking back Greg is a great stand-in for the audience, as well as the best comedic relief (with Tom). I think I wouldn't like Rome at all if it weren't for Kieran Culkin. He is the most clearly anthracite grey of them all (or the purest in a sense). The casting in this show is gold.

next episode, can you guys turn the show audio off during the watchalong when its not showing the window on screen? for some reason this episode it seems like it wasnt cut off so it makes an echo when trying to sync up with our copy. great reaction though!

i feel like the audio helps with syncing sometimes tho, sometimes when i'm syncing with them one of us ends up ahead of the other so i'm able to use the audio to figure out whether i need to pause the film or the reaction to re-sync it

I do think there’s a little bit of jealousy from Logan, but the scene at the end with Stevie talking to Sydney suggests that perhaps it wasn’t the best idea.

Just so y’all know the Roys are based off the Murdoch family who own Fox News. So they own a company similar to fox which is why they want to buy other media companies so they can have more control

no its good when it comes on every 10 minutes when they actually show the clip on screen, but just nonstop throughout is distracting because then I hear their show audio echoing with mine. idk maybe its just me. i feel like their normal reactions cut it off in between showing the clip on screen

Saying this since you're past it now, this is honestly my least favorite episode of the whole show. There's one more later on that I personally don't care for that I won't mention until after we pass it but that says a lot about the rest of the show being so excellent.
