Like everyone is saying, the fight scene was not in the book so watching this in theatres was CRAZY. People screamed and cried, and when it turned out to be Alice's vision everyone was just "WTF?!" But in my opinion it was a really good twist and I'm glad none of them actually died (except Irina). Honestly Stephanie Meyer did Jacob dirty in the later books because apparently she didn't like that people were rooting for him and Bella instead of Edward and Bella. That being said, I totally get why people think the Jacob/Renesmee thing is weird and creepy. However, like you pointed out, Edward being 100 years old dating a 17 year old was is weird too. They didn't explain the imprinting as much in the movies as they did in the books, but imprinting is involuntary and can't be forced on anyone, which is why Jacob couldn't imprint on Bella. The imprintee however can choose whether she'll accept him or not, although it is unlikely she will reject him. There are 4 stages: 1st is an older sibling-like bond, 2nd is friendship, 3rd is when potential romantic feelings start to develop and 4th is usually a romantic relationship. But he is not drawn to her romantically or sexually when she's a baby, he's like her big brother. He is whatever she needs or wants him to be. Above all he is her protector, which is why the wolves can't hurt her. I do wish that we had seen at least one example of imprinting where it was just a platonic relationship though. As for the CGI baby, it is notoriously bad. But because Renesmee was a half-vampire/half human and due to her rapid aging she had to look like a very mature strange looking baby. Real babies and toddlers were used but the face was CGI because they wanted her to look like the actress. It was also because she needed to have certain facial expressions at certain moments and you can't do that with a real baby. But if you think the CGI is bad, you should see what she orginally was supposed to look like. They used an animatronic doll that the crew called “Chuckesmee" because of its resemblance to Chucky. Here is a clip of it: https://youtu.be/7jOuy-HOcg8. Now THAT is truly horrifying! The dad line is indeed cringe af but in the book Edward calls Jacob his son! Speaking of Edward, he was more likable in the last two movies, but I still didn't really care for him or Bella (even though she was definitely better as a vampire). Jacob, Charlie, Carlisle, Esme, Alice, Jasper and Seth were the best.
