The show Skam!!!! it's like Euphoria but a European version with a lower budget but that's what makes the show so good. It's a Norwegian show and I recommend it if you want to watch more European shows. It was a huge hit back in 2016, so much so other countries like France, Spain, Belgium, Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands did their version of the program. Some people say it represents teenage life well with good acting & writing and some of the actors themselves were in high school when the show was in progress. The episodes are short and filmed similar to The Office making it feel more real. I really recommend it!

I love Skam, and I’ve watched almost every version, but to compare it to Euphoria and the Office is kind of strange. Euphoria is known for its promiscuity, nudity, drug use, violence, etc, and while Skam has drinking and pot, it’s hardly on the same level. The office is also a mockumentary where the characters routinely break the 4th wall, which again I don’t think ever happens in Skam. I still think they’d enjoy it, it’s a great show, just nothing like the two shows you referenced.

I agree with you, I worded it very poorly. When I referenced the two shows I was mainly focusing on the two main points I was pointing out. Euphoria and skam battles way different teenage problems in two completely different cultures on the opposite side of the world. Euphorias is a lot darker and focuses on the unheard/unseen minority while skam represents the majority. My comparison tho had a lot more to do with the fact both were praised for good representation in the hope for the guys to get more interested in watching the show. The office I mainly brought up to highlight how the show is filmed differently from Euphoria. The office atm (through my limited knowledge) is more similar, to skam, in filming than Euphoria. I understand your point of view tho and ill try to word it better next time. :)

I think for kdramas you guys should watch something short like move to heaven, bloodhounds, strangers from hell… just something to give you a little break from the long kdramas

I’m sorry if my reply sounded harsh or anything. I just didn’t want them watching Skam expecting it to be a certain way and then being disappointed it wasn’t. It’s such a good show, I wouldn’t want them to not enjoy it because they were expecting it to be different.

No no no, you didn't sound harsh at all and I agree with your take. I love skam and the last thing I want them is to think it is bad. Expectations of a show before watching are a big deciding factor for whether or not you're gonna think the show is good. To compare the two shows might just make skam look worse and then my comment will just backfire if that makes sense. I'm glad you pointed it out.
