This is like when y’all voted for jojo rabbit when war was the winning genre

valentina

i'm shocked

Kristi K

They haven't watched like 90% of the movies that are referenced that makes citw funny..yall LOL

Invadertif13

Witch or cabin in the woods, it's a great horror comedy

Mary

Omg cabin in the woods is so bad y’all….. what- actual horror would be the nun….

Tamia

Cabin in the woods is so trash and the VVitch is one of the best horror movies of all time….

katsu ne

The Witch is so good, I can't believe it's not winning...

Victoria Davis

No good 90s horror or thrillers :(

paolasc98

I know!! I hope it makes it back to the polls in the future. I will keep voting for it until then!

paolasc98

What are some good 90s horror/thrillers (for personal reference)? I can mainly think of 80s horror and Stephen King movies :o

Kubochaan

Cabin in the Woods is an homage to the whole Horror Genre. It’s not trash, just unique because it’s a call back to other classics like The Evil Dead for example. I do think that it’s not as fun of a watch if they haven’t seen a ton of horror yet, so I voted for The Witch

Kubochaan

I see a ton of people upset about the way this poll is going. Just wanna say tons of horror movies are comedic, a bunch of classics and all of Peele’s if you want a more recent example. The genres often go hand in hand. I get wanting a more serious horror movie for this poll if that’s your preference, but having comedic elements in them doesn’t make other people’s choices for horror invalid. Plus why make people feel bad for their preferences?

Monica

Also Cabin In The Woods is winning by a landslide for what some are calling trash or a comedy. They obviously are the minority here.

Kayla

Well, this is legitimately disappointing. Like the other comments have said, Cabin is 95% comedy. The Witch and Descent are both quality horror and would create more entertaining reactions, imo.

Jessica

I feel like people saying cabin in the woods is a horror, is the same as saying scary movie is a horror lol. Both movies are literally making fun of the classic horror tropes. I actually like cabin in the woods, but if it looks like a comedy, and sounds like a comedy, than it's a comedy. I feel it should have been suggested on a comedy day?

Victoria Davis

The faculty, disturbing behaviour, I know what you did last Summer 1&2, Species, Fallen, The haunting, Stir of Echoes, Lake Placid, Mimic, Phantoms, Candyman, Urban Legends, House on Haunted Hill (1999 remake), Thirteen Ghosts that’s all I can think of right now haha

Anonymous

cabin in the woods had one of the greatest modern horror 2nd act and ending imo these comments tripping

Anonymous

Hope The Decent gets picked one day. No one reacts to it. Also, if anyone hasn't seen it you definitely should. Maybe it'll get picked it more people watch it. :)

Anonymous

Cabin in the woods is just hilarious 😂 I’m ready for some gasps and laughs

Amanda

The Descent is highly underrated.

Tia Lily

fr like nothing good is gonna come out of making feel bad for what they want to vote for. it's a matter of personal preference meaning that people are gonna vote for... what they personally prefer.🧍🏻

Xio’♡

I hope the Descent gets chosen some day. 🤞🏻 it’s so good and would make a fun reaction

Tamia

people with taste for good movies are the minority here 🧍🏼

Nicky Daley

Cabin in the Woods is so freaking funny to me

cabin in the woods is so shit

lilly

people really need to chill in the comments, acting like its some life or death situation that "a real horror" isn't wining the poll. I feel like the guys have been more than accommodating with the amount of different genres and choices of movies on each of these polls. they listen to feedback, and at the end of the day, its just a movie. cabin in the woods is a horror even if it has comedic elements. at the end of the day, its a fun movie and if the guys enjoy it, that's all that matters. people in the comments are acting like its the end of the world that their favourite "real horror" movie isn't picked, when its seriously not a big deal.

Tawnie

don't get me wrong I voted for the descent lol but Cabin in the Woods is great too! it feels so pretentious to act like comedic and popular horror means it isn't good. I think the movie is also super meta and deconstructs the genre really creatively so I'd be happy to revisit it :)

You guys should do a month of horror in October. All types of horror. :)

This is a sad poll

YASSSS CABIN IN THE WOODS 🙌🙌🙌🙌

EKJ

Disappointing the amount of complaining that seems to be happening in these comments lately, they post so much. They will definitely get to the stuff everyone wants at some point.

valentina

In case you didn't know, The Idol will premiere on hbo on June 4, directed by sam levinson (the director of euphoria) Maddy will make a cameo in The idol since it happens in the same universe as euphoria omg I would love to see your reactions guys🫰🫰

Mary

Compared to the cabin in the woods it’s a god send bc that movies absolute garbage-

Mary

And anyways I would’ve voted for hereditary- but for some reason all the goods ones are never here🗿

Rose c

I wish orphan, the visit or as above so below was on here🙁.

You should react to the tv show love and death!

Unpopular opinion: I don't like The Witch. I've watched it several times, and each time I'm bored. Anya plays her part well though! Cabin in the Woods is a genuinely good pick, even if it's definitely horror comedy. The Descent would be a good future reaction too.

Dead Set On Dreams

When I first watched it I didn't like it because I legit didn't understand what the heck was being said. Old English confuses the heck out of me for some reason. When we had to read Shakespeare and stuff from that era in school, I was so lost. My sister literally would have to read it to me and explain what was happening and what was being said. It wasn't until I watched a reactor I like react to the VVitch that I understood the dialogue. He explained what was happening perfectly while reacting to it. Afterward, I rewatched it and appreciated so much more since I wasn't as confused. I'm not saying that that is why you didn't like it of course. That is just personally why I initially didn't like it but now I do.

Dead Set On Dreams

When I first watched it I didn't like it as well. I don't enjoy comedic horror/ parodies, and things of that nature. When I watch horror I want to be scared, having jokes thrown in just completely takes me out of the film. I don't mind comedic horror as much as I used to if it is done sparingly. Examples of films I like are It: Chapter 1 (I still need to watch 2), or even Thirteen Ghosts.

Dead Set On Dreams

As a horror movie fan, I'm just happy the genre won at all XD And I don't even really like Cabin in the Woods. I'm just happy we are getting more variety than romantic comedies honestly. Even the fact that an older film won makes me happy.

Anonymous

That's a valid reason to dislike the film, definitely, and I'm glad you've found enjoyment in it! I love Shakespeare and linguistics in general, so that was my favorite part of the film, figuring out what the heck they were saying and why it mattered. I thought the filming and coloring were creepy and the acting was good, but the movie itself was plodding and Black Phillip was too adorable to be the devil. It was introspective and quiet but just missed the mark for me. It didn't seem like horror to me, and I didn't feel dread, anxiety, or paranoia, and certainly not fear (which could be me being wonky and overexposed because I watch horror daily). Just not in my top 20 list!
