I just finished this series about a week ago. It's okay. It's a bit on the slower side overall IMO, but I hope y'all like it. I hope Strong Girl Bong Soon wins the next poll.

Maybe try on different device? Or I think people said using safari can fix this problem or maybe someone can reply with a solution!

i've only seen this through gifs on tumblr but there's certain scenes that even just in gif form made me legitimately tear up. excited for this one!

i looove hee-do's character. she's earnest, hardworking, and wears her heart on her sleeve. she's just so real. i can't wait for you guys to meet the rest of the characters

qq

also yes, this show is a bit more (maybe a lot more) slower paced than the rest of the dramas y'all have watched but it's worth it. it really is such a great piece of cinema

Fun fact: full house the Manhwa they read, was adapted as a drama in 2004 staring Song Hye-Kyo, the main lead of The Glory, the drama end up being a huge success all over Asia too.

ARC98

Most definitely!! I can already see them falling in love with Park Hyung-sik's goofiness, the humor in Strong Girl Bong Soon is their cup of tea for sure (:

Yea definitely, they'll love the humor and the quirkiness of the leads, I also think they would love Fight My Way.

Hee-do isn't 18 yet, that's her Korean age. She's still only 17 and a junior in high school. Yijin is around 22.

thaitea

Some of the translations on Netflix are frustrating and don't always convey the right emotion or provide enough context. Small things like when Hee-do's mom asked her where she went, the translation said "dancing" but she really said "nightclub", luckily in a later sentence they translate t as club but there are tons of these little mistranslations sprinkled throughout the show so if you are ever confused feel free to ask for clarification or request a different source to watch the drama from!

thaitea

Me too, it would be fun to see them hate nearly every toxic male lead lol. I would love to see them react to Full House or my personal favorite, Coffee Prince. But unfortunately those aren't highly requested and not necessarily the type of shows they like.

Hee-do is 18 as a junior because high school seniors in Korea are 19 and during their first year of college they are 20. Yes, the korean age system adds an extra year so technically she is 17 based on the international age system but then Yi-jin would also be a year younger, 21, based on this system. Either way they are four years apart. And Kdramas go by the korean age system so it is accurate to say that she is 18 and he is 22. Plus, Kim Tae-ri (the actress that plays Hee-do) actually talked about the four year age gap in the following article and confirmed that Hee-do is 18 and Yi-jin is 22: https://www.nme.com/news/tv/kim-tae-ri-on-age-gap-between-twenty-five-twenty-one-characters-3198335

I love how excited you all are about seeing Joon-Hyung and Suho again! You’re gonna love them in this drama too!

Yes Korea went through a huge recession during those times. The Korean IMF (International Monetary Fund) situation refers to the financial crisis that occurred in South Korea in 1997-1998. The crisis was triggered by a combination of factors, including high levels of foreign debt, a weak banking system, and the collapse of the country's currency, the Korean won. The South Korean government was forced to seek a bailout from the International Monetary Fund to stabilize the economy, which came with strict conditions such as financial reforms and austerity measures. The crisis led to significant social and economic upheaval in South Korea, but the country eventually rebounded and implemented structural reforms that helped to strengthen its economy.

That’s why her mom had to sell the gold wedding band because Korea was having a campaign to collect gold in order to pay back the countries debt.

Sorry Nithya but you're an idiot. Re-read your own comment and try to realize what you're saying makes no sense
