LOL I'm standing beside Sarah, Kie, and Cleo always. A lot of people hate Sarah for this but tbh she's a teenager and makes mistakes. I support women's rights and women's wrongs! Edit for more context: John B is my least favorite out of the main 6 (I don't DISLIKE him, just if I had to rank them he would be at the bottom) and the Sarah/John B ship just doesn't excite me like other ships do. I'm breaking my silence!

You guys should definitely look up Madelyn Cline's interview about this episode, she said she really didn't want to do this storyline and tried to make it not happen. She said she thought it went against all of Sarahs character development. She also said cheating is never okay and she had a moral dilemma when filming it. I can only imagine how hard/awkward it was for her to have to play this out on camera given certain circumstances from her personal life.

I notice it's mainly guys who hate Sarah for this because they see themselves as "John b" so they feel like she cheated on them lol guys are being super nasty in Madelyn's comments about it too. All the characters are made bad choices on the show, they are stupid teens. I will always support Cleo, Sarah and Kie too

@Simply Me: Same, I notice that too but in general I just don't think it's that deep tbh. I wasn't mad at her when it happened, I can understand her settling into something comfortable for the time being. She got caught up in the moment.

I wish the writers had never mentioned in the first season that Sarah has cheated on all of her boyfriends, because it just makes this so much worse. I love Sarah, but I hate some of the writing for her character

yea did not like Sarah cheating on John B I think it is a real blow to her character and her development. Also Kiara's parents are just consistently trash like the worst parents on the show for me lol even above Ward and Big John.

Listen, Sarah for the first time was alone with no place to go &amp; when she saw how JJ was living (sleeping on a dirty couch outside his own house) she was sad that is her reality now &amp; started drinking. Topper was reintroducing her to the life she could have again if she just stays w/ him. In a way, John B caused this bc he left Sarah w/ no place to go &amp; also berated her/lied to her b4 he left. Oh &amp; here comes good ol’ Top, rescuing her &amp; reminding her of his “love” for her while she’s alone &amp; vulnerable. Ugh, he creeps me out.

i can only imagine how drunk she was by the end of the night. She was drinking all day and im sure she had not eaten a thing given the circumstances. Now that you say that, looking at it now Topper gives off major obsessive creepy vibes. The girl is very obviously down bad and he totally took advantage of that. She has nowhere to go and was uncertain in her relationship, didnt have anywhere to turn, and she found comfort in something familiar from her past. The amount of trauma and life changing shit she's gone through in such a short amount of time, I dont blame her for anything. I also dont blame john b if he's upset, but i dont think she's a bad person because of it.

@emily exactly and I get that these are adults playing them but the character is a kid and kids do dumb shit all the time like kiss people they're not "supposed" to kiss. I don't think we should hold them to the same standards as mature adults. Topper definitely picked up on her sadness. I think the "hate" Sarah is getting this season because she kissed Topper is a bit much.

this ^ a lot of fans undermine what Sarah has truly gone through. She went from a normal/good life to having her brother shot her and try to drown her, her step mom drug her and her dad (who in season one she said was her hero) try to chock her to death. The girl has no family and had her whole world flipped upside down in a span of a few months. Also in ep 1 of this season she was clearly have PTSD with her "seeing a boat." Her trauma really isn't addressed much so it's not shocking she acted out in that moment

I honestly believe that the writers just didn’t know what to do with Sarah this season and that’s why they had her doing this. There were other options they could’ve easily done but they were lazy, it seems like. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I highly doubt she would ever die, Sarah, Rafe and JJ are hands down the fan favorite characters (mainly because Madelyn, Drew and Rudy are so well liked outside the show). So killing off one of those characters would turn a lot of people off watching.

her storyline is SHE is the link to everything lol She is the reason they got the gold (her taking John B to the archives and getting the plat mat), she is the reason they got the cross (she found the island room )and she is the reason they find El dorado too because SHE figures out the clues. She is literally the female lead of the show (John B being the male lead). It's clear you dislike Sarah and that's fine but let's not act like she isn't a key part of the story lol

It’s clear you’re obsessed with Sarah, and that’s fine lol. She is a fictional character, meaning she is just as likely to die as anyone else. She isn’t the “key” to anything, John B is. Everyone knows John B is the main character💀 is her character helpful? Of course, but Pope’s character is 10x more important than Sarah’s. Sarah’s character is tied to John B. Once that tie is severed, so is her plot armor🤷🏾‍♀️
