I am rewatching this again with you guys thank you. All good scenes are deleted on netflix version, last episode(7) clubbing this time(8) karaoke and more maybe. My favorite is on episode 14 so please see other version on episode 14.

The reason why Bokju’s friend is embarrassed with motel, many times motel is not for the sleeping overnight but only for renting rooms 2-3 hours for sex in korea. Most of time, it is for young couples or sometimes for adultery. People would assume if costumers are old, it is for affair. so they have a lot of customers during the day. So it is a legal business but sex related. I also think parents and coaches in this show are too violent. Corporal punishment is prohibited now in school by law. I don’t think Bokju dad’s behavior is normal. I never see this type of dad in my close friend’s group and my mom would divorce him if he is that violent lol. In this case, his characteristics are related to being ex-athletes. He was too strict and violent when she was not a devoted athlete. This show depicts elite athlete culture in korea, It is quite oppressive and sometimes too harsh. We see and criticize its problematic culture on News many times during the Olympic season. Of course Not everyone is like that but somehow it is true.

it's such a terrible story though. it's old school and gross. people don't actually fall in love like that and i don't understand people's obsession with such toxic relationships

I always forget to like these but ive been enjoying the hell out of these videos, didn't even realize how much I did love this drama the first time around god it's such a fun drama

if you decide to watch another romcom kdrama i defo recommend extraordinary you - the plot is rlly unique and the main female lead is the best

YESS i agree! I recommended this drama too. Definitely one of my favorites and I think they would have SO much watching it. I love the style of newer dramas but older dramas from 2015-2017 have a particular style that is just super funny while also being able to pull off heartwarming AND more serious/darker plotlines.

Omg absolutely I would LOVE to see them react to Fight My Way. I'm almost mad at myself for forgetting to recommend it lol. It's one of my all time faves, an absolute classic and just a super funny and cute show in general.

i wouldn't say the story is terrible. i think i'm just attached to it so much for the side characters and the friendships throughout the show more so than the main couple lol
