I feel like they don't know what to do with Will beyond traumatizing the poor kid. As long as he can be used in relation to trauma and the Upside Down, they fleshed his character out, but beyond that, they just ignore him. Also really really hated the Jason storyline, it just didn't make sense why he would be so worked up if they literally only showed him interacting with Chrissy for 5-6 mins in the ENTIRE season. Like boy is willing to hatecrime the Sinclairs, make it make sense!!!!! Loved y'alls reaction tho!!!

Will is 100% going to be more connected next season. He drew the same picture Henry (Vecna) did, got infected by the Mind Flayer the same way Henry did, and he's the only person who can physically feel when the Upside Down bleeds into the real world. The Duffer Brothers said there's more to why the Upside Down is frozen in time on the day Will went missing, and I can see him becoming a villain next season and having to sacrifice himself to save everyone else.
