I love this community so freaking much, but every time I see a Vampire Diaries ep posted I get excited we're nearing the end, then I remember there are mad seasons left! LOL

I don’t understand the hate towards people who comment their opinions no matter the side. Is that not what a COMMENT section is for? Comment your opinions about the characters and about the episode or show so far. That’s what this is for. It’s a literal discussion board basically and people pay money to watch their favorite reaction channels and have discussions with others on Patreon. I like reading everyone’s opinions as a subscriber. I don’t understand the nastiness towards people who are sharing their thoughts about the episode. If you’re a Stefan girl, fantastic (me always and forever). If you’re a Damon fan, cool. If you’re a Matt gal or boy then beautiful lol. Y’all get the point. There’s no need for the “this person takes this too serious” or “this person is commenting too much”rudeness. Let people comment and share their opinions and discuss the show. The show was created to tell a story and for people to really dive into it and engage with others who are fans. People will like certain characters more. That’s normal. The story purposely develops in a manner where people will always compare Damon and Stefan. People watch television and movies for the story and the characters. You’re supposed to have commentary on the characters and the story. Simple…so I hope y’all can stop being so weird in the comments about people sharing their commentary no matter the side. This is here for engagement and to share opinions about the characters and show BUT *reminder* the guys and people like me are watching the show in full for the first time so please do not drop spoilers or hints about episodes/seasons we haven’t watched. 💕🫶🏽💕

no one cares about voicing your thoughts but some of the people in the comments cant respect others opinions and just end up fighting with them making it toxic

Y’all, don’t beat me up in the comments, but I truly see both sides of the incident. I empathize with Stefan and Elena. Elena has every right to feel the way she feels as she’s reliving a traumatic event that almost killed her and killed her parents BUT Klaus had to believe that her life would be over. The only thing giving them leverage is her, his hidden siblings, and Stefan being this version of himself. He had to do that and I’m sorry but he’s also right. The moment he left town, he lost her and she’s hiding from the truth. She’s lying to herself. I can’t imagine that pain for Stefan as well…knowing that the woman you love, is in love with another man who happens to your brother. I like that he acknowledged the dynamic between Elena and Damon because that shows that it actively pains him. That has to be hurtful and we see that he has let in more of his humanity. It’s slowly coming back. He’s right…the only thing he has left IS his revenge mission on Klaus. I feel a trend in the series so far. The characters easily abandon Stefan when he doesn’t behave perfectly even if he was FORCED. It’s also a common theme where his forgiveness has to be earned while the show creates this dynamic where Damon is so easily forgiven for doing things that should never be forgiven. I find that strange in the writing but I think the writers clearly favor Ian and his role on this show so far. That’s just an observation. Anyways, you can see the pain in their eyes (Elena and Stefan) for the same and different reasons. They’re both hurting but Stefan has every right to feel betrayed in the sense that he left only to come back to someone he lost the moment he was forced to leave. Stefan knows that things may never be the same with Elena because she loves Damon as well but at least he can seek revenge at all costs on the man who made him lose her or made it clearer that she already had feelings for his brother. I honestly feel for Tyler as well…he thought he was in control of HIMSELF but realized that he will never be a singular person ever again. He’s willed by a force that’s out of his control. So unfortunate. He’s lost everyone in his life. Super sad that he couldn’t be there to celebrate Caroline’s birthday and how he was the odd one out when he showed up because Caroline ended up texting him. Him biting Caroline was just : (. I don’t hate his character. I see his situation for what it is which is him losing his autonomy. I loved that they showed Bonnie’s pov of learning about Jeremy being compelled to leave town, how she feels about the situation, and their goodbyes. You don’t just lose feelings because someone was a complete idiot so what Bonnie feels is normal. I wish Elena didn’t feel the need to take away Jeremy’s choices. I get her wanting to protect him as an older sister but it does more harm to control the thoughts and actions of an individual than just letting them choose and protecting them within that choice. There’s a lot of emotional scenes in this episode. Going back to Caroline’a birthday, I love the scenes where we get to see everyone together as friends. I love that normal element in a world where normal doesn’t exist. The scene with Klaus and Caroline was one of the most beautifully written scenes in all of the episodes we’ve seen so far. You forget Klaus is a villain in that moment and he reverts back to the man he was before he became a vampire. Great scene and there’s a lot of chemistry between them. Loved them on screen together. I wonder what they’re setting up with that scene and how it will affect Tyler. Does this change Caroline’s opinion of Klaus in the slightest? We’ll see how it plays out. I also loved Matt and Elena together at the end. Matt is a great friend and I love the moments of him being the person to allow them to be grounded and let them know that everything will be okay. Hmm who killed Brian? It ends with us wanting to think one thing but maybe it’s something else? What an interesting ending to this episode. I loved EVERY second of it! 🦋
