This was the episode of matt x bonnie moments

Stefan turning his humanity off remains one of my all time favorite scenes of this show for me. Superb acting from Paul there. This episode was non stop tension from start to finish. Love the tidbit of Bonnie of all people being the one to keep texting Damon for help, Gotta love how Bonnie, Caroline, Jeremy, and Matt etc, all hate Damon but the second some shit pops off, he one of the first persons they call. Even Stefan in the last season when Klaus took Elena for the sacrifice, the first person Stefan called was Damon but then they question and argue his plans or solutions.

Damon becomes one of the most reliable people which I love, even though the gang sometimes may not like him, he is dependable when it matters, and always gets involved in plans, even if they sometimes go wrong lmao.

Paul Wesley is such a great actor. The dominoes continue to fall. To see this come to fruition because of the unconditional love Stefan has for Damon and needing to save him…This was a wonderful episode. The scenes between Elena and Stefan were really emotional. Even in Stefan’s final moments of being able to exist within the beauty of positive human emotions, his love for Elena was the most compelling. To resist the compelling by the strongest vampire in existence not once but multiple times until he was physically unable…Stefan’s love for Elena is deeper than anything that most can imagine. I use is because I don’t believe that the love dies just because he has been forced to turn off his humanity. It’s still there locked deep down inside. He did not stop loving her, he was unjustly abused and made to hide his human elements. That includes his love for Elena. He was devoted to her until the very end and until the compelling was finally successful. Maybe we’ll see it again in the future but that’s just me being optimistic of some future moments between Elena and Stefan like what we’ve seen from season one and season two. Vampires are contradictions. They are human yet monsters. They are dead yet undead. It makes the entire aspect of having humanity even more fascinating. The constant contradicting nature of who they are…Even Klaus craves companionship. It’s the human side of him. This episode really marks a new beginning. I liked the friendship moments between Matt and Bonnie. I believe that Matt is misunderstood as a human who has suffered so much loss in this tv world as well as coming from a dysfunctional and broken family. He wanted to help Tyler and see his sister but there’s also a lot of pain there that he wants to be free from. Interesting look from Caroline as she is embraced by Tyler. She’s worried. Quick change from being excited about the future to now having this worry about the unknown. I liked the ending and seeing Mikael. Can’t wait to see where this goes.

Also, Joseph Morgan is such a good actor as well. Between him and Paul Wesley, they do such a great job.
