It doesn't matter how many times Stefan saves Damon's life. Damon will always try and steal his girl. It's gross and weird. It doesn't even matter if Elena is "falling" for him or not. Stefan is Damon's brother!! If Damon would have more respekt for Elena's personal space and her relationship with Stefan, then maybe i wild actually respekt him more. but nope. Stefan sacrificed everything for Damon. This is one of the things why i will never be on board with Damon and Elena. It's such an awful thing to do to your own brother.

Damon and Elena are as horrible as each other, it is obvious the writer had some obsession with writing their fanfiction story no matter how it hurt the characters. And it is a slap in the face for Stefan who clearly cares more about his brother than vice versa. Damon is an inherently selfish prick, I only stomached him in his scenes with anyone BUT Elena, especially Bonnie. Damon might not have respect for personal space, but Elena never puts up boundaries. She tries to "save" him and it's the cringiest type of trope I know, especially because it's always the woman having to "fix" a man....
