Gob!
Just like for Nightmare, I suddenly got the urge to redraw her (though that was over a month ago now). I ended up changing her pose and made a bunch of small changes to her design, though she's still very easily recognisable. I improved her colors a bit too, with an overall more saturated palette.
I'm very happy with how she turned out. She probably took the least time to draw out of every girl too! Which probably has to do with how small she is to be honest. And by the way just in case you're not sure, Goblins are just small! There are no children in BEW. In fact, there are even lore reasons for that, but that's for another time.

As for what I did this month, good news! Everything has been implemented! It was a lot of work and my estimation from last time turned out to be pretty off (I thought I was about 45% done, but it was closer to 20~25%). Still, every single object I drew now works in game! I even improved a few things here and there along the way and cleaned a bunch of code. Good stuff!
There isn't a whole lot I can talk about sadly, since I exclusively worked on stuff relevant to the new areas you'll get to explore which I'm keeping secret on purpose.
That being said, I did get busy with a bunch of IRL stuff, one of which was that my HDD had been slowly but surely dying. It still works but is extremely slow, and compiles taking 20+ minutes is what convinced me to finally get an SSD. I was surprised at how easy it was to switch, everything works perfectly and it now takes under a minute to compile the game!
This made me reflect on a few things. The speed of the SSD makes up for the time I lost in this case, but there is always a possibility for something I didn't expect to happen and cause me a loss of time. I initially believed I'd be able to release the next demo in 2021 which was incredibly naïve of me, and while I still believe I can make it happen this year, I have no real guarantee of that. My plan if it ever ends up looking like 2022 can't happen will be to cut a few things that aren't too necessary, like optional quests, alchemy puzzles, maybe a few chibis, this kind of things. This will at least help for an earlier release, and I would then add all of that back later as a small demo update.
Just to be clear, I'm still aiming for a 2022 release, but I figured I should at least adress this eventuality.

Also! I have some news concerning the polls. The 30th Monstergirl poll will be the last one BEFORE the next demo comes out. The reason for this is that I'm aiming in total for, at most, 60 monstergirl polls in total. Since 30 is the halfway point, I feel like it would be a good idea to stop there until the next demo is released. In the meantime, I plan to do more NPC polls similar to the one we did before. I'll have more details on these in the future but it will probably result in 2 NPCs per month. I still have a few free slots for NPCs in the demo too, so there is even a chance I'll draw some of them before it comes out if they fit what I'm looking for.

So yeah! That's all I have for now. My next step is to create a few new overworld puzzles. There are also a bunch of small improvements and fixes that need to be taken care of all over the place. Mostly very minor stuff, but it does need to be done. The main one will be to rework the dialogue system in preparation for the cutscenes, now that I know exactly what I need. All I did this month was coding though, so I'll take a short break from that and draw a few new chibis first instead.
