“They feel like they were made just for you.”

The woman at the counter certainly knew how to sell a girl some jewelry.  It was like they were calling out to me right then and there.  Hell, they match the dress I am in like I walked out the door with them on to begin with.  I can’t believe she only sold them to me for a hundred dollars to boot.  How do they even make a living in a shop like that?

Questions for another time, I suppose.  That cheapness is the only reason I would’ve been able to splurge on something so beautiful.  I’m barely covering my rent with the way prices have been going up on everything, but everybody needs a little spending to themselves every now and then.

As much as Love how this matches my dress, I can’t wait to see what else these pearls are able to look good with.  I might finally have the finishing piece to that black dress I’ve always wanted to break out.  Then again, I’m sure Natalie will tell me I look like an old widow at a funeral putting all those pieces together.  She just doesn’t get it.

I bet if she saw my room she would have an absolute meltdown.  “Soleil, my God you live in a Vampire’s castle?!”  Not even realizing how cool that would actually be if either of us could.  Best I’ve been able to do is bring her out to some horror movies, but she’s usually laughing her ass off and then having me console her at the bar about her next big breakup.

Being the “shining light” in your friend group can leave a way bigger shadow than most probably think.

At least I was able to make a positive out of the day with these pearls.  Even if I don’t muster up the courage to break that dress out, these puppies are staying on come hell or high water!  I bet it’ll make some of the girls at work a bit more jealous when I tell them how much I spent on them.  Hehehe!

Wait, now that I think about it I never told the woman at the store about my job, but she made a joke about my office.  How did she know that?  Am I just that generic looking?

Well, with these pearls I won’t be any longer!
