Thats 242 Euro and 60 cents.” the asian waitress stated with an underlying disbelieve, while making her way through everything Thea had been eating over the last hour.

“Yeah let me see… “ Dylan  said while getting his wallet ready.

“50, 100, 120…” He started counting while putting money bills on a little free space next to his plate. The rest of the table was completely covered with empty plates, that all had been eaten by Thea.

“Actually I will pay half:” Thea said while reaching for her purse. She felt horrible. She had been so absorbed in the entire situation, that she had completely forgotten how much more she was eating than a regular person. Or regular Amazon at least.

She watched the waitress taking the money bills from Dylan and couldn't help but feel jealous. Unlike herself, the waitress only was little more than a foot taller than Dylan. They looked like they would fit together. Both so… small? Cute? Fragile? She could not really put her finger on the right word.

The asian waitress grabbed the side of the table and lifted it up while balancing all the plates on top to bring it back to the kitchen. Even the way she could effortlessly move around Dylan was enough to instil the feeling of inferiority in Thea. When she was around him she had to always make sure not to get too close, cause she was so much stronger. A single mistake from her could seriously hurt Dylan. It was not fair. She heard a little crack from the opposing wall as she moved her toes through the concrete, and quickly pulled back. Luckily the waitress was already gone, and nobody else seemed to notice.

As they stepped outside Dylan seemed to sense something was off.

“Hey sorry for underestimating your appetite. I …” he started to apologise.

“No, no!" Dont worry about it!” Thea replied. Why did she have to ask for a dinner date? The payment situation had completely killed the mood.

They walked a bit in silence. A new Idea sparked in Thea. Something that did not require money.

“Umm are you busy over the weekend? You wanna join me on a trip to that forest, you know the one near the coast?”

"I'd love to, you might have to walk a little bit slower than this for me to keep up though, my legs are only half as long as yours.”

Thea nodded and a little hope and optimism was glowing up inside her. “Sure, I already have a place in mind, I don't think we will take longer than an afternoon!”
