It’s Time To Do This Better (Patreon)

This is a long post with a lot of information. If you don’t have the time to read now here’s a summary:

Changes are coming from the 1st of October:

• My Patreon launched just over a year ago, since then I’ve scaled up production hugely. And I want to deliver even more.
• I’ve invested in new hardware and made changes to my life to allow me to hit these new goals
• Tier names are changing to better represent their content levels
• Collector (now known as Gold) tier reduced in price and gets more content - WAS £15 / $21.50 now £10 / $14.50
• Platinum Tier - New top level content tier with huge amounts of extra content
• Comics continue every Friday - Some will be exclusive to the Gold tier
• Regular high quality animations aka Short Films FOR ALL TIERS
• More Content - votes, mini series, double quantity image sets and more
• Download Packs - Monthly archives of everything published in that month will be available

What’s this all about?

It blows my mind that I’ve been on this platform for over a year, I would not be where I am right now without you guys. My approach has always been to make content that I wanted to see more of, and I couldn’t be happier that so many of you have resonated with my work.

When I launched my Patreon in August 2021 the content was better than my posting schedule. I soon made the switch to a weekly comic format delivering 15-25 pages a time. But striving for these weekly chapters to have pace, meaning and substance has pushed a lot of them to become longer and longer. Some parts reaching close to 100 pages - I’m an overachiever.

Fast forward to August 2022 I am releasing over double that. I released 220 comic pages, 4 animations, the usual extras as well as over 50 pinup/short comic images. This represents a huge body of work and I want to give you more.

How am I going to do that?

Last year I purchased my first ever PC, it’s a pretty budget rig and I push it to its absolute limits. That hardware has become one of my biggest bottlenecks. My second largest bottleneck is time.

🖥 Hardware - Recently I have made significant investment in new hardware in the form of a new high end rendering PC, networked storage, facial capture and voice over equipment. I am still in the process of setting this up but this will allow me to:

• Render more and faster
• Work while rendering
• Have complete backups of all files
• Have a genuine voice actress deliver a real performance that can be captured and translated into animations.

⏱ Time - I have made changes in my personal life to allow me to work more effectively on my content. Woo!

So what’s actually changing?

The popularity of my higher production level animations, and a personal drive to make more of them is something I’m excited about, but they do take significantly more time to produce. I really want to deliver these to all my Patrons. I also want to deliver more bonuses and benefits to patrons on my higher tiers.

To make this possible I have made some changes to my Tiers, reducing some prices and introducing a new top level content tier.

🏷 Tier Names - I’ve updated the tier names to better represent each reward level:

• SILVER (Previously Supporter) -  £5 / $7.50
• GOLD (Previously Collector) - WAS £15 / $21.50 now £10 / $14.50
• PLATINUM (NEW) - £30 / $43

🎥 Regular High Quality Animations aka Short Films - Most of you have seen my animation My Amazon Ex, as well as some of the higher production value animations I’ve been including with some of my comics (Such as Volunteers Needed). I wanted a name for these animations that helps differentiate between comic animations, and higher production level animations. These will be known as Short Films.

From October there will be a Short Film in production at all times. There will be an update every month and a final Short Film every other month to start with. However my goal is to release one a month in the not too distant future.

📘 Comics - Some will be exclusive to the Gold tierI will still be releasing a comic every week. 2 of these will be available on the silver tier, and additional comics will be released to the Gold tier. No comics that started on the Silver Tier will be moved to the Gold tier - that wouldn’t be fair.

I am very happy to announce that in October I will be continuing my most requested story universe ever: Haley Grows Up. This will be the first Gold Tier comic series and will still feature a little Haley, but will focus more on Grace.

Grace Grows Up starts on the  14th of October.

📚 More Content - I will be producing additional content in a few different forms, for full details please see the new Tier structures below.  

📥 Download Packs - I know a lot of you love to have off-line/downloaded version of my work. Until now I have only made downloads of comics available. From October I will be introducing a new type of downloads that I am calling Download Packs. These will be monthly archives of everything I have published for the month, not just the comics.

I have already retrospectively made these going back to the start of my Patreon and they will be available based on your tier from the 1st of October.

Note: The Collector’s Pinned Post will be replaced on the 1st of October, if you’ve not taken the opportunity to download all of this content in its current format, and you want it. please do it now.

Existing Patrons On My Collector Tier

You will be upgraded to my new Platinum Tier at no extra cost.

At least 2 comics a month every other Friday. Released on Patreon the month before they are released on Gumroad.

Comic Extras
Comic extras the following Monday including height charts and comic related animations.

Image Sets
A new 3 image set every Wednesday.

Short Films - NEW
I’ll be releasing regular short films. These are longer standalone animations with sound design, voice acting and high production value. There will be an update every month and a final film every other month to start with with a goal to release one a month in the not too distant future. (Think My Amazon Ex).

Instant access to collectors editions of comics when they are published. Including comic animations and height charts.

Image sets are at least twice as large.

Monthly Vote - NEW
Every month you get to vote for a monthly image set or mini comic. This will include current comic characters in new and/or extended scenarios, image sets, or maybe even a short animation.

Monthly Download Packs going back 3 months which will include everything published (previously this was just comics) for this tier. For example, joining in April would give access to the January, February & March download packs.

Monthly Download Packs going back 12 months which will include everything published (previously this was just comics) for this tier.

Commission Tier

It turns out my simple Commission Tier has been anything but simple in terms of the content I have produced. It’s always in my nature to deliver more, or get carried  away with these smaller projects. That means, more often than not, I am spending far more time on them than I should be.

To help me justify the large amount of time I spend on these commissions, from October 2022 my Commission Tier will be rising to £100 / $143.

However, Patrons currently on my Commission Tier already can continue to receive this perk for the original price of £40 / $57.50 for as long as they stay subscribed.

Custom Commission
Once a month get a custom commission request. A commission is generally 1 scene from 6 different angles (maybe with some slight variation). The scene can include 1-3 characters, in an environment and pose of your choosing.
