Hello my lovely patrons! How are you?

I wanted to give you a quick heads-up of what's been going around here and let you know some stuff that I've been planning.

First of all, I finally have a complete diagnosis of what's been going on with my arm. I mentioned last week that I have tenosynovitis but turns out I also have tennis elbow *yay*. My tendons have major inflammation and I have to fix it. I started with kinesiology sessions, everyone tells me it's going to help and I really hope so.

I'll spend the next few weeks doing little to zero art and lots of stretches and kinesiology, at least until mid February and see how I feel then and what doctors recommend. I hate this, but I have to stop if I want to get better and I want my arm to fully function in the long term, I won't risk it. So yea, I won't be able to draw much and I just want to be completely honest with you, especially now that January is ending so you can decide if you want to stay nonetheless or cancel your pledge, which I'd totally understand. I know you guys are the best and some of you have been telling me to take it easy for weeks now and I really appreciate that.

Anyways, a life without drawing is synonym of hell for me. So I've made plans to navigate these upcoming weeks the best way possible and keep those creative juices flowing however I can 😊

I'll open a postcard + sticker tier on February 1st, YES IT'S  HAPPENING. I'm so happy. I'll open some slots at 12pm UTC-3 for Patreon, and then some more slots at 14pm UCT-3 for my followers on Insta (https://time.is/es/UTC-3) slots will be very limited but I hope to add more and more as months go by. If you stay for the month of February and decide to upgrade to the postcard tier ($15) Patreon will charge you the difference !
✶ I'll open an online store as well in February 🥲✨ everything is almost ready, I'll have original pieces for sale and some stickers. The books I made a few years ago will be published as well but marked as coming soon. My plan is to drop limited quantities of books/ originals/ stickers every month, to keep track of everything and avoid getting overwhelmed by orders. I'm completely new to this so until I get the hang of everything, I figured this is the best way to start, baby steps! 💪
✶ Writing. I'll pick up my beloved story about the mermaid and the sailor. I've already started a draft and it feels so so nice to dive in that story and those characters again. Working on my story will help me feel productive and *hopefully* avoid succumbing into despair cause I can't draw. I could also share with you guys a few sneak peeks about it??? idk it's been in my mind for so long it makes me really nervous the thought of people reading about it, but maybe it's time! We'll see
Editing. Not my favorite thing lol but I love videos and I have a bunch of recorded material that never finished editing so it's something I could definitely pick up while I'm recovering :) so expect a few new drawings sessions!

I have more stuff planned in mind but it's mostly finishing house stuff, upgrading the studio with new shelves, buying new plants etc, whatever feels nice.

Honestly I feel not being able to draw and improve is a huge step backwards, probably it's not but that's how it feels right now, so I want to compensate that by doing other important things I always wanted and pushed back for one reason or another.

That's all for today. Thanks again for your continuous support whether you decide to stay or not, you're the best and I appreciate you all so so much 🥺❤️

Will talk you soon!

love,

Gret
