Wales' Wonka Story Contest! (Patreon)

So I started a Wonka story here. As you notice, there's not much after that. Which is where you all come in. Talking with some of my patrons, I got the idea of doing a contest where I start a story and anyone who wants to can finish it with whatever idea, character, etc. they so choose. Let creativity go wild with whatever your mind can imagine.

And why not also make it into a contest where I have a nice (in my view at least) prize. Here are the general rules:

• The general introduction needs to stay mostly the same. Small tweaks such as making the Wonka a specific character (I went as gender neutral as possible so you can work with it as needed and make changes as you saw fit) or making them more sinister is fine. Just don’t rewrite the whole thing as it's meant to be the starting point for everyone participating.

• For tour guests, I’d say no more than two characters. They can be from any fandom, anyone specific, OCs, etc. It’s anyone you want to put in the role! But a hard limit on two since more than that can make it bloated.

• Same with whatever ‘fate’ they meet. You can be original, go with a classic, try some combination. It's all whatever you want to make

• The story itself shouldn't be more than 6k words (about 12 pages). The intro itself is around 500 words/1 page so hitting 13 is fine. Not like I’ll penalize you but still you want to make it doable I’d imagine. Like in Point 2, having too much makes it harder to work with.

• Contest will be open for about 3 weeks. When you submit it, send it to me via stash or Google docs for reasons that'll be explained in the next paragraph. So long as I get it by that day in any format you're good. Though hold off on posting it to your page for a reason that’ll be explained below.
  

The prize is a full commission story (10-15) pages and there'll be two winners. Winner #1 will be the one I think is the best. However just because it has a character I like won't be an automatic winner. I'll choose the story I like most overall. Winner #2 will be chosen by my patrons. I'll remove names so it'll be fair so no one is at an advantage. Voting will last a few days and ties will be handled if it comes up. Once all is done, you can post your stories as you’d like!

This contest will close July 7th to account for the July 4th holiday if that is a problem. Good luck and let that pure imagination flow forth!
