Edit: This post is now public! Happy Holidays! (Why Modrinth why!!?)

Playing with friends is fun, the datapack has been designed from the beginning with multiplayer in mind. In fact, there are many mechanics that are not that interestig in a singleplayer world, such as the ability to turn your friends into titans for example.

Since the server was shut down a few months ago, I've been thinking about a way to bring that interaction back to the players by being a more indirect intermediary. This is how I discovered essentials, a mod for Minecraft that allows you to simulate a local game (I understand that it is similar to Hamachi), you only need a good computer to act as a host and you can have up to 5 players without many lag problems!

I am making a video to properly announce it on YouTube, but for the moment I wanted to share the modpack and "Barracks", a tutorial world that I have created in collaboration with "Rifleman" that aims to explain the basic mechanics to introduce new players. It is installed by default in the modpack but you can also install it vanilla in 1.20.2 :)

Support for this modpack will be slower than regular datapack updates. This is because I like to have a stable version because it will be an entry to many new players, plus version 1.20.2 is a bottleneck for many of the mods, so it will probably stay there for a while. In any case, you can always install essentials in the newest version and use the datapack in 1.20.3, 1.20.4+ since the vast majority of mods are only optimization!

Without further ado, thank you for your support and wait for the next video. I'll start recording right now.

I hope to release it before the 24th as a Holidays gift to the community.

Take care!
