Oooozes (Patreon)

The rukaryzyll is the centerpiece this week; shapeshifting fungal oozes that were seeded through the material plane as sleeper agents for a grand demonic plot and then got completely forgotten about; now they pass the time selling cursed magic items in alleys or pretending to be clerics while they wait for activation orders that are never going to come.

I played around a bit with the ochre jelly's classic division abilities too, trying to make something that does its thing in a way that is easier to proc for DMs and presents players with more complex choices to play around it.

These poolish oozes were for a bread-themed adventure that I got to work on last month with Lorelock; I adore all the little usability touches and OSR styling that he used here to make this easy and fun to run. We're both big bread nerds, so it was fun getting to translate all the weird and esoteric mysteries of baking into the structure of an adventure.
