We bring you once more, another game-showcasing- this time something straight out of mythic fiction origins. Punching Donut is a talented developer who created "Book of Korvald"- an interestingly unique project that draws inspiration from a variety of themes.

Take a breather from sc-fi space exploration space-farer, and check this blast from the past out:

Set in the 9th century, in the far northern regions of the European continent, Book of Korvald tells the epic adventure of an elderly Scandinavian scribe, whose village gets raided, pillaged, and plundered by the invading forces of a religious crusade.

Taken prisoner, beaten and blinded, Korvald gets help from a source he would have never expected…

Cosmic Horror Storytelling

Book of Korvald is inspired by a mix of real history, Norse mythology, H. P. Lovecraft, and the Evil Dead movies. You will experience a lore-rich story with enigmatic characters and creatures whose secrets you can unravel in compelling side quests.

Of course, Korvald will also meet beautiful women he can seduce, some of whom will even aid him in combat. And not just human women are on Korvald’s menu, he is also quite the monster fu… lover! There are encounters to be had that you will never forget.

The game is fully voice acted, by some of the most talented voices in the adult gaming scene, and even has some fun cameo appearances from some content creators!

Game-play

Book of Korvald is a Metroidvania with slight RPG elements. You explore maps, fight enemies, find treasures, unlock skills and find different kinds of weapons and armor to use.

Fast combat will demand your attention. Female enemies can even be… let’s just say “converted”, and will fight by your side.

Summary

If you like adult oriented Metroidvanias, then Book of Korvald fits like a glove. The game is currently still in development. However, you can check out our demo on either:
