VoidBound - New Year's Announcement (Patreon)

Hello everyone,

First of all, Happy 2022 to you all!

We at Cursed Atelier have always found that honesty and transparency are incredibly important at all times. With that being said, we have some very important news to share with you.

We are under heavy financial struggles and have been for some time now. As much as it pains us to do this, we are going to have to turn Voidbound into more of a ‘passion project’ so the output of the game can continue.

By no means does this mean that the game is canceled. Far from it. Work is continuing on it every day, and things are being worked on behind the scenes that we absolutely cannot wait to show you. We just want to set expectations and be as transparent with you all as possible.

Putting it simply, some of our staff are giving up their pay for a time, as we do not have the funds to pay them properly for their hard work. This means the output of work and development is going to get slower, which sucks for everyone, but it’s a completely understandable side effect of these changes.

We are going to finish this project, no matter what. Because we love our fans and our team. And we are really, really stubborn.

As we look towards a brighter future and hopefully pull out of these struggles, you can expect further updates.

We can’t thank you enough for all the support and feedback you have provided us thus far. We truly appreciate every single one of you! Thank you so very much for helping us get this far. With your help, we will get even further.
