Do you have any idea how painful the bone conduction from a gun being fired while clenched in your jaws would be!?!

I hope he can keep the boss alive and interrogate-able. Finding out who paid for this would be a handy thing to know. Of course, the coldest thing would be to show up at the guy's business with the bodies, and say "here, I think these are yours. I'd like the flank steaks, please...."

Oh, my, Lester used mind-expanding <i>slugs.</i> My last experience with a Pit Bull was the brute my next-door neighbor keeps. He charged me going <i>'wiggy, wiggy, wiggy!'</i> with his tail and demanded to be cuddled. We're old buddies.

HA! Called it! I knew from the sparing guy holding Lester's punching bag that Lester had the build similar to "Spider-Man the Animated Series" Kingpin . . . he looks big and round, but only a small % of that build is actual fat. And from the way that chair was "krik"ing in the previous pages, I figure he was slowly weakening the wooden legs so he could tear them right off! And you're right, when a pitbull locks his jaw on something, you ain't getting it back from him until he is good and ready! Reacher may be a Giant, but Lester is a freaking Tank! And never underestimate the training put into Federal Marshals, especially the good ones.

Chomping on the silencer actually makes sense to me. If there was no silencer, and he'd bitten down on the actual barrel of the gun, the firing of it makes the top of the frame snap back, which would probably have ripped out a few of Lester's teeth.
