I am so glad you are having Herman go back south! I really wanted to see you go more in depth on that story line, and it looks like you will. And as for that money being a bribe - no, it is a research grant. Those ferals down south bear investigation, and somebody with few preconceived notions or goals is exactly the sort of person to do it.
