When Savage grenaded Berecki off the Mink's back, he also removed him from everyone else's back. Mink's right, she should have thought of that before.

I do hope one of the grimoires falls into good hands. Mink needs a magic friend.

I wonder if this will be in the context of Berecki was making it practically impossible for anyone to learn magic or that magic even existed at all without going insane and thus all new magic users will be 'starting from scratch' even with the grimoires. Or if there was a subset of those who KNEW magic was definitely real but couldn't access it or else run afoul of Berecki and now with him gone they will be coming out of the woodwork all over the place. Like a character who was a direct descendant of one of the original magicians and had studied magic but hadn't practiced it to keep from revealing themselves to Berecki. But now all lights are green for them to suddenly pop up blasting. O.O

Yeah, that's what happens when you remove the alpha predator in any environment; All the not-quite-top-tier predators starts carving out territories, much to the dismay of the prey that lives in the now-contested territories. "Don't take down the king if you're not ready to wear the crown."

Berecki might also have been too impatient and contacted them too soon before they were powerful enough to be taken over and stopped studying magic.

Seeing as we now have the antihasis to the mink in the form of Sid Blindur, I'm seriously hoping we get a male equivalent to Mink.
