I'm old enough to remember using paper maps. Still do, on occasion. Do they still print those, in this age of the Net-connected smartphone?

Yep, & a lot easier for those of us on the "senior" side of life, to use, too!

They do, because paper maps don’t run out of batteries. ;3

I can still go to most state-run rest stops or department of transportation offices and pick up various road maps.

Go, go VISOR GPS! They do still print paper maps. Every time I go to the Eastern States Exposition (think, a State Fair for a half-dozen <i>weensy</i> States) I go into the State Buildings to wheedle for highway maps. Usually, they don't disappoint me.

Places to find paper maps: AAA, Barnes &amp; Noble, Amazon, gas stations and food stops on highways (not so much in the cities), tourist offices and chamber of commerce if the city is large enough, or make your own beforehand via websites.
