i am drawing a lot of werewolves lately oops

this one is actually from my dnd campaign. if ur in the campaign don't look

I've been asked to detail my process a bit more so I added some screenshots that show my thought processes. I like to do a grayscale mockup of the scene to reference for values and general composition of the piece as I work. Additionally, I've been doing this technique I saw another artist do where I map out the way that light interacts on the scene, specifically detailing big areas of specular/diffused light, as well as rim light. This helps a lot with remembering how to render certain areas when you're in the middle of hyperfocused painting.
