Lark's House - thoughts & process pics (Patreon)

Her house! I'll try not to say too much of what i already said. I'm trying to refine my painting process a bit for landscapes to make them doable without intense amounts of prep work. This one was a bit unsuccessful in that regard as I had to go over a lot of detail passes (and generally speaking it's still not where I want it exactly).

That being said, I learned a lot here! This painting style is a bit blockier than I'm used to and I think I want to try and emphasize that more in future paintings. Rendering trees is a challenge in and of itself, which I may do some quick guides on soon.

This is Lark's tree home thing! The actual house is just a bed and basic living equipment in the base of a tree trunk. Most of her house is devoted to her observatory. The actual makeup of the village that she lives in is balanced on the faces and tops of cliffs that surround her home (which will probably get painted in future scenes).
