Jake Eigo was a great banker, no doubts about it. He had spent his entire career climbing up the corporate ladder with ease securing him a place of choice in the overwhelming urban jungle of Neo Leosa. Cars, penthouse apartments, women... Some might say Jake had it all. Hell, Jake himself would say it to whomever was near.

Unfortunately for him, when the crash of 2057 came around and brought the entire American financial system to its knees, nothing would save Jake from being thrown in the dirty streets of the city to fend for himself with nothing more than the clothes on his back. The young man, never one to doubt his abilities to conquer, quickly fell in with the wrong people at the corner of a badly lit backstreet.

The Bastos were a ruthless gang formed in the underbelly of Neo Leosa. For Jake, it represented an opportunity to climb towards the top of the city once more.

So, when he confidently strolled in the Bastos' HQ asking for a meeting with their boss, the young man wasn't surprised to be indulged in a few minutes later - for Jake, nothing felt more natural. The deal offered to him was simple. Take out Narissa, a lieutenant of a rival gang ruling over the Tao District, and he would be made a Bastos lieutenant himself. An offer that Jake should have refused, if his hubris hadn't made him blind to the grin the Bastos boss had on his face, as he rose up from his seat to shake the former banker's hand.

Now, it was too late to back out. Jake was realizing his mistake as he faced what could only be Narissa, based on the description he was given. Turns out, being a cocky banker didn't teach you much about what was life in Neo Leosa's criminal world and Jake was quickly understanding that lesson. The woman was towering above him, tens of meters tall. It was the latest trend on the Black Market, and Narissa's gang had a monopoly on the new tech.

"She doesn't even seem to know I'm here..." thought Jake as he started to slowly back out from the little dirty street.

However, it seemed fate wanted the former banker to pay for his hubris. A screeching cat, a panicked gasp and a still echoing gunshot was all it took for Jake to know he was doomed. The burning gaze of the titaness fixed on him was just a confirmation.
