Poll Reminder (How It Works) (Patreon)

Since I'm getting asked about the functionality of how character selection works on Patreon, here's a reminder to clear up any misconceptions.

• During the start of every year, all character choices are voted by my audience to determine how popular they are. They are then divided into 5 categories, splitting them off from the highest voted to the lowest voted. This prevents fan-favorite characters from competing against obscure or less popular characters.

• New characters I've considered won't get added until next year when I host the popularity vote again.

• The popularity categories are also semi-randomized, of which 3 out of the 5 get picked for the month with some exception being that 1 or 2 of the categories are never the same from month to month.

• Three polls are hosted every month for 3 rewards. Characters are randomized completely as to who gets to participate in the vote. There is no favoritism at play.

• Characters cannot participate in next month's poll if they have already participated the month before. If a character wins and is chosen for a reward, they no longer participate for the entire year.

• If a poll ends with a tie between two characters or more, the winner will be randomly picked for a reward.

• My vote will always go to the character with the least amount of votes.
