"Can I even do that?"

Yui says "Previously I didn't think you could, but if you are right about sacred power being similar to mana then you might have a chance."

"How dangerous is the test?"

Yui says "Death is not possible during a test, but you can still be heavily injured."

"As long as I can't die then I should be okay, I have gotten used to pain and I heal fairly quickly. Before I try the test though I should probably read the books for knight mages you mentioned earlier, right?"

Yui says "That would be wise."

"Alright, then I guess that is the plan for today."

Yui says "I will have the books gathered and placed into a reading room for you while you have breakfast."

"Thanks. Can you also add any books with knowledge about demons in them?"

Yui says "Affirmative."

After thanking Yui again I get out of bed and get dressed, there is a full wardrobe full of clothes made to fit me. I haven't put my armor back on since the first night, it is currently sitting on a frame all cleaned and polished and looking like new. The clothes the tower made for me are all of silk and are well designed, not only do they look good but they don't interfere with my movements.

When I asked Yui about the clothes she said they were made for me and I was expected to take them with me when I leave. Now if I end up getting dragged into another noble party I won't have to wear my armor. The clothes are of such high quality that I have even thought about using all the mana floating around to try enchanting them.

Normally enchanting items is difficult and time consuming, but with the mana here being so dense it should be fairly easy. It is something I plan to try later, for now I just finish getting dressed. Once I am dressed I walk over and wake up Asuna, then I pick her up and head for the dining room.

Bones and Kechara are already in the dining room when I walk in although the food hasn't arrived yet. I walk over and start petting Kechara as a form of greeting, as I do I feed all my power to her core. Once that is done I put Asuna in her seat and then take my own, just in time as the food starts floating in.

As we are eating I glance at Bones, he doesn't need to eat but he is here for every meal. It would seem that he simply enjoys doing something normal like this, even though he is a battle addict. Maybe I should keep him out all the time, it doesn't cost me anything and it might help him develop.

After all, I know he has the power of speech, even though so far he has only said two words. Maybe if he has more interactions it will help him develop his vocabulary. It is something to think about at least, if he wants to be dismissed I'm sure he will let me know.

While the food is delicious as always I force myself not to eat as much as I normally do. I want to be able to move around and not feel like my stomach is about to explode. Once everyone is done I pick up Asuna and follow Bones and Kechara out of the suite.

Instead of heading straight for the library I decide to follow them to see what they are up to. In the end they end up leading me straight to the library, it seems they have been coming here a lot. Both of them immediately grab some books and head to one of the reading rooms, Asuna jumps down from my arms and follows Kechara.

"Yui, aren't all the books here written in the language of the empire?"

Yui says "Affirmative."

"Then how are these guys reading? I haven't taught them the language yet."

Yui says "Since they seemed interested in reading some of the books I taught them the imperial language."

"Wasn't that difficult since you don't have a body?"

Yui says "Not at all, I simply used a spell to teach them the language."

"There is a spell for that??"

Yui says "Of course! Mages are famous for not wanting to waste time on mundane things so they create spells to take care of it. The spell can also be used to learn a language from someone."

"Oh, is that how you are able to speak the modern language?"

Yui says "Affirmative. I learned it from you as you approached the tower."

"Huh, useful. By the way, which reading room am I using?"

Yui says "Room one."

Looking around I spot room one and head over, I can see two piles of books on the table inside. Aside from the table there are two very comfortable looking chairs and the room is brightly lit. As I step inside I feel my body pass through a barrier and instantly the density of mana doubles.

The barrier should have been the time dilation effect so now every two hours I spend in here only one passes outside. Thinking of that, if Asuna is spending a lot of time in here will that speed up her growth? If so she may grow faster than is safe for her body, something just shouldn't be sped up.

"Yui, is the time dilation going to affect Asuna's growth?"

Yui says "Negative. True time dilation is the providence of the gods. Time spells are unstable and dangerous, what you are actually experiencing is simply a speed boost. It allows you to accomplish things at twice the speed so your perception of time doubles."

"Okay, so there are no negative effects?"

Yui says "You burn a lot more energy than normal, but other than that no. If you get hungry just let me know and food will be brought."

"Okay, will do. Another question, the mana density in here, how fast does it restore? What I mean is if I use it up how long till it returns?"

Yui says "If you use all the mana the density should return in about an hour of real time."

"Great! Is it okay if I also use this room to do some enchanting?"

Yui says "That would be fine. But are you capable of enchanting when you have no mana?"

"Yes, when I lost my mana and spells I didn't lose my skills for manipulating mana and enchanting objects. If you have the clothes from my wardrobe brought up here I will show you. Oh, also my coat please."

Yui says "Alright, just a moment."

While waiting for the clothes to arrive I take a look at the two stacks of books. Each stack is ten books, one stack is about mage knights, the other is all about demons. The mage knight books are numbered so I grab the first book and start reading.

When the clothes arrive I pile them in the second chair and take my coat to start with. Sitting down I extend my senses and slowly start gathering all the mana in the room and channeling it into the coat. The coat isn't high quality so I don't expect it to be able to handle much, but that also makes it the best for this experiment.
