Sorry, I have not the process of this, but I saved some steps:

After the sketch I worked on the red elements, including sky.

I put the color base, and then it's just a matter of adjust and adding things with brush...

I added some lights and shadows playing with fusion methods on a bunch of upside levels.

I selected a space looking like texture I downloaded for free on Freebie and add it in the sky by creating a mask and "multiple" layer fusion method...

...it needed a color correction, so I made another level just filled with magenta and set the "soft light" fusion method.

In the end I created a new layer with a gradient to add some atmosphere.
