Unfortunately, Sparkle’s situation has suddenly worsened in three days. The vet gave us some cortisone pills to give her, in the hope that it would be... I don’t remember what... but since they didn’t work at all, it’s very likely that the main tumor is in her brain.

It's very common in over 10 yo cats. If you notice that your cat eats a lot, but remains skinny, puke often and alternately expels hard and soft stools, do not wait too long to take them to a veterinary clinic that is equipped with ultrasound and CT, even if your regular vet says "it's just hairballs".

Anyway, our kitty is dying already and she’s in a lot of pain, so I asked the vet if we could euthanize her if she’s still with us tomorrow.  

This is the last time I talk about my cat. I promise. Sorry I shared my sadness with you.

Sorry I missed a week and sorry the comic is not spicy.

During this time something very good happened. My sister in law gave birth to a cute baby-girl two Saturdays ago and our little nephew was our guest while our brother take care of his wife and newborn. Samu is a very quiet child and it wasn't a problem to draw with him playing with Lego and drawing next to me, but as you can imagine I couldn't draw boobs with him around.

But I also have bad news. One of my cats has a big mass in the intestine. It could be a thickening of the intestinal wall or a tumor. We still need to run some specific tests to figure out how to help her.

But she’s 12 years old. Although she still looks like a kitten, she’s an old age for a cat.  The vet has not yet mentioned it yet, but it is likely that after the examination we will be asked if we want to undergo therapy or interrupt her life.

We don't want her to endure surgeries and medicines just for her to die a few years later (if the therapy works). But we are not ready to say goodbye to her, not to mention that her brother (my other cat, Mordicchio) would be alone...

He doesn’t realize that Sparkle is sick, and he keeps trying to play and wrestle with her.

These are very sad days.

So even though Samu went home with his family days ago, I allowed myself to complete this comic, because it let me focus on the good things that happened and it gave me comfort.
