Hello everyone! Happy New Year!

I have now been making maps and other bits for two years (ish) and in 2019 I had what can only be described as a fantastically successful year. I made a map for Critical Role (Probably the highlight of last year actually), I was part of a Kickstarter that made €421,985, and Project Deios is shaping up to be a gamechanger for making maps in the future. I worked for Wizards of the Coast by playing two characters in a live show of Dungeons and Dragons with Guy, Janet, Micheal, Mharie and Jenny! I’ve made tons of maps that I am seriously proud of and I can now see my own style and way of making maps really coming together. KTech has now joined me and is working on making creatures tokens and other bits and pieces behind the scenes. I started making tutorial videos even though they are quite basic that is something I’m really excited to continue!

All stuff I was making last year will continue this year, maps, tokens, streams videos etc. Everything will carry on and I will be doing and working on a few new things. A big part of this year of course is the creation of assets for Project Deios which will start coming online in a very early form sometime in March (Don't hold me to that date, I’m not in charge of the release schedule :D)

Break Time

Over the last month I have been taking a bit of a break and not focusing too much on work, mainly doing a few little bits and organizing/planning etc. I’ve been very quiet on the discord and social media which is just my way of switching off. I’ve also been ill and while I’m not going to go into too much detail, it's thankfully nothing serious. However it's definitely contributed to my downtime and burn out.

I’ve always tried to be up front about this kind of thing because, despite being quite a private person and someone that doesn't necessarily express themselves that much. Talking about these things is quite important for anyone else reading this and suffering the same kinds of issues. Taking a break in order to recharge is totally fine and everyone needs a holiday, it happens to the best of us, were not machines after all! :)

KTech

I asked KTech is she wanted to say anything on this post and she said this;

“Beware the token maker who speaks in memes. Perhaps there will be otters. Who can truly say?”

So there you have it, KTech is a wonderful addition to this little map making, ttrpg thing I’ve got going and I love her to bits! She will be continuing to make Creature Tokens in the new year and finishing off the entire Monster Manual! :)

New Schedule!

Posts on patreon will now be coming out slightly later on than they were last year. This is not a major thing but the new time that things will be posted is 8PM GMT (3PM EST, 12 Midday PST). This is a little better for Americans and allows me to work on something a little longer before posting.

Streaming will be back at the same time, so I will be posting things and then going live. I will be making another post in the next few days with a new schedule for streaming but this year I want to stream A LOT. I have a great idea for streaming that will hopefully keep me on track but more details on that later.

Videos will be back and coming out every Friday (Or most Fridays) at the same time as posts. These videos will continue the tutorials on mapmaking and hopefully we can start getting into the nitty gritty details of actually drawing and creating maps from scratch.

This goes without saying but maps of all kinds will start coming out gain this month and will continue forever.

THANK YOU!

This super successful year wouldn't have been possible without the help and support of all my lovely patrons. Your continued support and love is what makes everything possible so from the bottom of my heart, thank you all! And here's to another great year of maps and tokens!

Detailed Feedback

In order to really see what I can improve on or just make more of, I’d love to hear what your favourite post from last year was and why! You can let me know in the comments :)

Feedback Poll

Finally you can vote on a poll for some of the things we will be making this year!

This poll is a general feedback thing, as I’m really interested to see what people would be most excited to see throughout this coming year. We will be doing many of these things regardless so this poll is designed just to see an overall measure of what everyone wants to see the most.

Maps and tokens, but whatever you want and makes you happy is always awesome too :)

Foundry Virtual Tabletop

Incredible set of accomplishments in 2019. I'm confident you'll continue to make a big impression with whatever you do in 2020!

I loved your Dragon Series, so many cool dragons, especially the "none DnD Canon" ones. Loved the Jungle Dragon with the armour and the flower and forest dragon was just amazing. Because they where more "mythical" dragons than usual dragons we get these days. My Favourite Battle Map was probably Serpents Fall because it was unique and different. I already have 10+ Maps of forest clearings but only one Serpents Fall. I just love your special scene maps as they are inspiring adventures all on their own. Yumelia my favourite Campaign Map for similar reasons. Not a normal fantasy map but different and visually interesting. Lot's of other great stuff this year, fantastic map assets, KTech Tokens. So many good things. Looking forward to 2020!

Thank you Marcus that was some great feedback I will certainly try to do more unique battlemaps this year!
